Przez ponad sześć dekad algorytm Dijkstry był niekwestionowanym władcą dróg, światłowodów i rezerwacji lotniczych. Aż do teraz, kiedy grupa naukowców z Chin udowodniła, że przez wiele lat wszyscy zadawaliśmy złe pytanie.

Algorytm Dijkstry to fundament informatyki. Chiński zespół udowodnił jednak coś ważniejszego: matematyczny mur, który uważaliśmy za nieprzekraczalny, właśnie runął.
Lekcja dla nas wszystkich
Ta historia to coś więcej niż ciekawostka dla programistów. To mocna lekcja o tym, jak ramy, w których osadzamy problem, stają się naszymi ograniczeniami. Dijkstra był najlepszy w rozwiązywaniu zadania „najkrótsza ścieżka z posortowanym wynikiem”. Świat potrzebował po prostu „najkrótszej ścieżki”.

Dat betekent dat alleen jij en de persoon met wie je chat de berichten kunnen lezen en beluisteren. Maar als je de nieuwe AI-hulp oproept, krijgt Meta opeens wél toegang tot die gesprekken. Daar schuurt het een beetje.
Een beetje? Je bedoelt, je zou liever niet hebben dat ineens al je gesprekken geanalyseerd gaan worden door Suckerberg? En misschien Trump? Misschien nog wel anderen, zal vast veel geld waard zijn.
Dit schuurt niet "een beetje", dit is meer dan alleen het opgeven van de illusie van vertrouwelijkheid, dit zou reden moeten zijn voor elke WhatsApp-gebruiker om eens heel goed na te denken of je überhaupt wel via dat platform, dat surveillance- en reclameplatform, wilt communiceren. Laat staan gevoelige gesprekken laten analyseren door een AI die er alles mee kan doen wat Suck wil. Of wat Trump wil dat Suck ermee doet...Daarom denk ik dat het goed is als je nu op WhatsApp zit met je bedrijf en medische gegevens, informatie over bedrijfsovernames of andere gevoeligheden deelt die eigenlijk het daglicht niet mogen zien, je je moet afvragen of WhatsApp wel het juiste kanaal hiervoor is.
Als je je dit als bedrijf, overheidsinstantie of wie dan ook, nú nog moet afvragen, heb je al een tijdje niet goed opgelet. Het antwoord is NEE. Vanaf het moment dat Suckerberg het kocht, was het dat eigenlijk al niet meer. Daarna is het hard achteruitgegaan.
Mooi dat de interesse in #Signal hard groeit, dat is een veel betere variant om voor privégesprekken te gebruiken dan WhatsApp. Al gebiedt eerlijkheid me te zeggen dat dat voor eigenlijk elk alternatief geldt.
Wel jammer dat de pers het meestal laat bij Signal. Wanneer zie ik een keer een bijlage in een krant waarin wordt uitgelegd hoe online communicatie werkt, waar de gevaren in zitten, welke opties er zijn en dat je even over je eigen eisen- en wensenlijst op zou moeten nadenken.
Voor bedrijven of (overheids-)organisaties die met gevoelige data werken, is ook Signal niet de beste optie. Je wilt niet afhankelijk zijn van een patjakker als Suckerberg als het gaat om je communicatie, maar eigenlijk ook niet van een ander. Je zou dit zelf in de hand moeten hebben, zet je eigen WhatsApp/Signal op en doe daar al je bedrijfscommunicatie over, in ieder geval de interne.
Dat kan, zo heel moeilijk is dat niet. Als je met dergelijke gevoelige data werkt, kun je ook de mensen inhuren om dat voor je neer te zetten. Sommige dingen zijn gewoon te belangrijk om aan anderen over te laten.
Lees in "Sla Signal over en stap over op Matrix voordat het te laat is" wat de voordelen van #Matrix zijn. Je draait het zelf (of laat een partij die je vertrouwt het voor je hosten) dus je hebt volledige controle over het systeem en de data.Met andere woorden, u behoudt 100% garantie dat uw privacy niet wordt geschonden - nu niet en in de toekomst niet. Laat dat even bezinken: absolute garantie in plaats van blind vertrouwen.
Het lijkt me -zeker voor overheidsorganisaties- niet te verkopen dat gevoelige communicatie verloopt via een platform waarbij je maar moet vertrouwen op de belofte van de eigenaar ervan dat het veilig is. Laat iemand je eens uitleggen en demonstreren wat je met je eigen Matrix-omgeving ineens allemaal kan.
Je kan de auteur van bovengenoemd artikel vragen (via Matrix zelf: gital-justice:noordstar.me), maar je mag hier in de comments ook je vragen laten vallen natuurlijk. Ik heb ook wel eens wat met Matrix gedaan.
Waarom zijn politieke partijen die zich bewust zijn van de digitale werkelijkheid niet al massaal overgestapt, vraag ik me af. Partijen als @Piratenpartij - De Groenen (cc: @Piratenpartij Delft), @Volt Nederland en @D66 zouden zoiets toch op z'n minst moeten overwegen. Niet alleen voor zichzelf, voor alle belangrijke communicatie binnen de gehele overheid.

Uma coisa que me incomoda nos aplicativos de notas é que eles ainda estão muito atrelados ao formato arquivo ou página.
O problema é que me cérebro não funciona em arquivos ou páginas… meu pensamento é fragmentado, ele nem sempre segue uma ordem específica.
O modelo arquivo implica em definir título, mas o que eu preciso anotar nem sempre tem um título, ou tem um título enorme e o aplicativo vai truncar e substituir por "…".
O modelo página não tem títulos, mas é tudo ou nada. Uma página com uma única frase me deixa ansioso… Alguns are tentam adotar o formato "grafo", mas ainda muito presos ao formato "arquivo".

Tutti i dati sono importanti, quelli sanitari hanno un peso specifico doppio della gravità terricola (cit OK Quack).
Sapere che sei donna, fertile, europea o americana, è oro puro.Solo dall'atto della richiesta, senza aprire la mail, si possono ricavare dati per un profilo demografico inferibile.
Cominciamo a vederne qualcuno, partendo dal fatto che sapere che hai richiesto la pillola abortiva è un indicatore chiaro di attività sessuale attiva.
Sesso biologico femminile: probabilità altissima, quasi certa
- età fertile 15-50: probabilità alta
- età probabile 16-35: probabilità alta, pattern statistico
- capacità riproduttiva attiva: probabilità alta, pattern implicito
- residenza o presenza a Malta o paesi limitrofi: probabilità alta, IP + logistica locker
- non seguita da ginecologo di fiducia: probabilità media, bypass consulto medico

- non usa contraccettivi regolari: non ne ha accesso, non ne ha educazione, non ha un partner collaborativo
- urgenza temporale: il timing della mail rispetto al ciclo inferisce la settimana di gestazione (se i dati vengono correlati con ricerche precedenti)Se dalla mail si raccoglie il nome (la firma, basta il nome di battesimo o un nickname molto poco comune, anche l'indirizzo stesso nickname.1980@) e si utilizza la mail di invio, bastano 20 minuti per stilare un grafo relazionale usando la SOCial Media INTelligence.

Taking a detour from my #cylinderplayer project to look at a friend's Columbia #Grafonoloa #recordplayer. The symptoms are that if you turn the crank, you get a little resistance, then a little "klunk" sound, and then it freewheels. Sounds like a spring issue. Either detatched from the shaft or broken.
I should have taken a picture of the whole player, but here's the extracted mechanism, which I brought home to look at. And an add that shows more or less the model I'm working on,
Seems to be a deluxe triple-spring one, which gives you extra-long runs on a single wind, but means there's more places to check for a break.
