I want to give an unasked-for recommendation for Laura Coyle and her Illustrator courses. I've found a great deal of value in them - she has pre-recorded classes (which she updates frequently as Adobe adds/changes stuff) and she also does live sessions - some with a topic, some just Q&A. The live sessions usually have fewer than a dozen participants, so you actually do get a chance to chime in and ask stuff. Plus there's a whole message board where you can ask questions, too.
Anyhoo, she's having a sale on her annual membership, so I thought I'd take this chance to highlight her excellent work. I'm not getting anything out of this, just passing along a thing I think is worth your time and money.

Illustrator's gradient meshes for me are boring. Once you understand the principle, it's just a never ending task of setting mesh points and coloring them. That's one of the reasons I do not create a lot of meshes. It just takes a lot of time and I'm not discovering an awful lot of interesting things while doing so. @rodlie @friction I solved it by manually changing the number in each frame for some frames an then asked #ChatGPT to complete it in the exported SVG.
But I came across another problem. When I import SVG files for #AdobeIllustrator they miss all color and stroke settings and default to black fill, no stroke. Am I doing something wrong? Here’s a test file if you have time to take a look: https://herrw.de/making/images/geometrie/vektoradd.svg
If you prefer I can also open an issue somewhere (where?).

My pet peeve today:
The #AdobeIllustrator “Magic Wand” tool, which selects similarly styled objects, has terrible defaults (kinda similar colour), and doesn't remember the settings you choose between sessions.
This bug has been in Illustrator for at least _20 YEARS_.
