i grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. As kids we were taught to never try to cross flooding rivers even via low water bridges. One of the busiest roads in Johannesburg has one that gets flooded regularly. Normally they are safe but can become very dangerous, very quickly with heavy rains.
Tragedies like this one is fully preventable specially when people that should know better do stupid things.

I really love Mnemosyne A5 notebooks from Maruman, but I was using them mostly with gel pens and then later very fine nibbed fountain pens. I recently started using thicker nibs and thought I’d try a Hobonichi notebook instead and now RIP my Mnemosyne. I’ll still use them up but, delightful paper though it is, that Hobonichi so good with the thicker nibs. #stationary #文房具
