Another favorite ancient deity of ours associated with lions is Isthar / Inanna, who we met on the pod all the way back in Season 1 in our Taurus episode.

King Lycaon had 50 sons. He killed one of his sons & fed him to Zeus (because... idk something about wanting to test Zeus's omniscience... or something?)

Zeus was so upset (which is sort of rich coming from this guy), he turned King Lycaon into a wolf.

In Greek mythology, #Oceanus is the #Titan god of the great river that encircled the world, believed to be the source of all seas, rivers, and springs. He was one of the eldest Titans, born from #Gaia and #Uranus.

Unlike most of his Titan siblings, Oceanus stayed out of the great war between the Titans and the #Olympians. With his wife and sister #Tethys, he fathered thousands of river gods and ocean #nymphs known as #Oceanids.
