A simple pentacle in my signature style: a woven pentagram within a circle, with a second circle woven through the five points of the pentagram to represent skill and mastery over the elements.
Available in .925 sterling silver, shibuichi (a 3:1 copper:silver alloy), yellow brass, and red bronze.
Pendant is one inch in diameter
Pendant is 16 gauge thick and heavy, designed to last a lifetime even with heavier-than-average wear.
Upeye bail is sized for a 3mm chain.

Complexity in simplicity
The idea for the 'woven' #ring came while I was still a student of the late Samir Mattar in his #JewelleryMaking course in Urca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I went away with some scraps and basic tools to my grandparents' farm, and worked with what I had at hand.

The #AngelofTheNorth is 25 years old today. From my #artjournal in 2008. "Today I read about the guy who crossed the channel with a wing and some jet engines strapped to his back. I saw a glider soar above a swarm of model aircraft buzzing over the A1. Then a flock of lapwings fluttered up on high like giant handfuls of black and white confetti. It felt as it was calling to us, sending emissaries to hurry us on our way. My 'pilgrimage' made me alive to everything in the sky.
And then you arrive and discover that the sculpture is rooted in concrete with piles as deep as it is high. But it is still a creature of the air. Not cold and distant, in splendid isolation, but surrounded by mothers and lovers, clambered over by kids, and crawled upon by one tiny caterpillar. Transcending industrial brutalization and lifting us all with its wings." 27.09.08 -

I've grown distant from the usual grinding exercises because I had to finish a commission for Mr. @jectoons and #Fodongo zine. The result turned out more good than I initially thought I could make, so probably all the cylinders and boxes helped?
Anyway. What I want to do now as part of my art journey sharing is 3 images for a panel that really loved making (panel will be included)!
In the images are the initial draft of how I was thinking of going about the scene. It was very "static", as that showed some sort of powerful guy, but after doing some iterations and played with gestures the final scene actually formed they way it did, much more dynamic, much more powerful, with the guy being so much more full of bloodlust than just "empty" power.
