I want to like #TreeOfSavior - it's a nice enough game, certainly looks beautiful, and the bugs and the Engrish lend it a flavour not unlike Gravity's old #RagnarokOnline, which after Renewal has been... troubled.
But goddess alive, does it ever remind me of the old adage of the Gambler's Fallacy: no matter how many of one enemy you might kill, the next one still only has a .4% drop rate on the item you need...

Being a good dad is the most important thing to me. It overtook professional ambition as a priority in my mid 30s when my first daughter arrived.
Being a good partner matters to me, but the reasons feel far less altruistic… It matters mostly because life is better when we get along, and it’s important for the kids to see us stable, happy and loving towards one another.

Strange fact I discovered and found curious.
There is more Don Quixote fan fiction than Three Musketeers fan fiction. (Although way more stories that uses three musketeers as a name for a story in another fandom.)

Just watched the new French adaptation of The Three Musketeers. Enjoyed it, but good Lord, those English subtitles were dreadful. I can understand using an autotranscription as the basis, but did no-one check them in context? D'Artagnan 'praises' rather than rents a room, Athos brings 'godparents' rather than witnesses to a duel. Even English dialogue was mistranslated. When the Queen says to Buckingham, 'I beseech you', it came out as "You're welcome". 😬

“This requires considerable concentration for prolonged periods of time at least twice a week and leads to emotional strain and pressure associated with a high workload volume and engagement as a regular feature of the role”.
The whole job ad is a masterclass in how not to run a #recruitment campaign.
This #NHS organisation is terribly broken. Wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

#Audiodrama is my favourite way to consume stories, over film or reading. I thought #thebetrayed was a brilliant representation of the radicalisation of a normal white Irish guy. It makes it easy to see how people get sucked into extremist views and actions. Gripping plot.

I can’t really put into words how important this group of brothers are to me. I’m doing my first #volunteering slot for them in the morning - handing out fliers and business cards at the train station.
