Joscha Bach—maybe you saw him on the Lex Fridman Podcast—is incredibly racist and contemptous of women and also writes that society should just execute its elderly people, similar to how a brain allegedly terminates weak brain cells.
Bach self-describes as cognitive scientist and AI researcher.
Oh, and Bach was deeply connected with known pedophile and criminal Jeffrey Epstein.
Joscha Bach has also been on the #LexFridman podcast three or four times already. Lex called him one of his favorite guests.
Maybe you should finally stop listening to podcasts like Lex Fridman, Andrew Huberman, that all are fascist to the core. Just because your ears don't hear the fascist dog whistle doesn't mean these podcasters ain't fascists.

People have the choice:
- They can say that dealing with "politics" is a waste of time and they'd rather be productive.
- They can show a genocide victim some empathy and receive answers like this.At the end of 2026, when people will share their "Spotify Wrapped" again and "reflect back on their year", they can write in their diary that they listened to 52 audiobooks this year at 2x speed.
I will have a folder on my computer with screenshots of messages of love like this one.
No matter whether I'll be 40, 50, 60, 70, or 80 years old and look back on those screenshots, I will feel so much more than any of these "productive" folks who can't remember the plot of a single audiobook they listened to at 2x speed.

I can't believe I ever listened to this guy.
Silicon Valley treats him like a guru, like a wise sage.
#NavalRavikant has always been ultra-capitalist, and he's been upfront with it, but he also gave solid advice for how to live a happy life. For example, for how to deal with envy.
He required the people who work for him, to work 80 hours a week. He was upfront with it and mentioned it in the job description. I knew I didn't want to work that much, and the people who applied knew and applied anyway, so I just shrugged off his #capitalism views and treated Naval Ravikant like a buffet: I picked his reasonable advice and rejected his unreasonable views.
Ravikant once said that no "science" that bears the word "science" in its name is actually science, in his opinion. With the sole exception of computer science maybe. He considers himself a hard-science nerd who regrets that he didn't study physics. Only physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics are real science in his view because only they are falsifiable according to Karl Popper's definition of science. Only they can provide "good explanations".
Now he's in the replies of his own tweet, writing it's "revealing that people automatically assume the comparison is negative".
As a software engineer myself—although I'm abhorred by the notion of vibe coding—I can see at least small arguments for why vibe coding appeals to some people. They cannot code, they don't want to learn it. Same maybe as I don't want to learn how to solder just for one project idea. It's not worth the effort. I'd rather pay someone else to do it for me. Except now they don't have to pay for someone's labor anymore.
I can see the appeal of vibe coding to some, although I think it's an insult to my craft.
If I want to live in a beautiful house, I don't take to vibe architecting my house (and dying in a collapse) when I think studying architecture isn't worth it if I'm only ever going to architect one single house. No, I talk with (and pay) an actual architect.
Vibe research though goes completely against Popper's idea of falsification. Instead of hitting some "regenerate" button 1000 times before I find a theory with a proof, I'm quicker if I actually understand what I'm doing instead of just "vibing".
-
Absolute fascist.
How anyone can still respect that guy is beyond me.
-
Cancer-like growth or, you know, finally make billionaires and corporations pay fair taxes.
-
Fascist fucker.
Wait until people start migrating by the millions, when it starts getting too hot for humans to survive where they live.
Of course that climate-catastrophe-induced scenario is exactly why these capitalist assholes all start calling for closed borders.
-
In case you (or your co-workers) still think of Naval Ravikant as this wise philosopher–
He's just an ultra-far-right (if not fascist) exploitative selfish enemy of humanity.
If you don't believe me, ask the people who were deported to El Salvador or kidnapped to detention centers. Ask families who were separated at the border. Ask the "white trash" poor people who no longer can afford food and other necessities due to Republican policies.

To every programmer with impostor syndrome:
If you ever had thoughts like the following—especially in your more junior years:
"Man, I work at this unknown small-town shop. I would be so much more respected and make a hell of a lot more money, if only I could work at a Silicon Valley company."
Or, after browsing LinkedIn, learning that your idiotic/arrogant former classmate with whom you graduated, landed a job at one of the big Silicon Valley companies and you wonder how he did that because you work at a company in the middle of nowhere …
—the leaking of the source code of Claude Code should give you a huge boost of confidence.
These people working at Anthropic and the likes are SUCH BAD CODERS. They literally don't know how anything works. You and every colleague you ever liked is much better at programming than these idiots working at the big-name company.
Working at a small-town shop on something ethical gets you much more respect from the people that count, than working at the big-name companies. As proven by the increasing calls to auto-ban from open-source projects everyone employed at certain companies.

Meanwhile, popular podcasters such as #LexFridman and #AndrewHuberman still platforming that 🤬 Jordan Peterson.
But #Huberman also commented ”learned a lot“ when #Fridman let that insufferable fascist Balaji Srinivasan ramble about his totalitarian fascist ideology for 8(!) hours. (Look up ”The Network State“.)

The RAM brand Crucial will no longer exist. 😔 The parent company Micron wants to abandon the consumer market and focus entirely on enterprises. The enterprise market simply is much more lucrative, with the demand for RAM that LLMs have … in much larger numbers than home users upgrading their PCs every few years.
Thanks for nothing, AI. 😡
Crucial was my favorite brand for RAM, since it's one of the very few brands that is compliant with the JEDEC standard and doesn't come with shitty overvolted Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) that gamers utterly misunderstand. And when you turn off XMP (because it makes your PC unstable so that marketeers can fool you with high numbers), gaming brands almost always fall _below_ the JEDEC standard.
Crucial produced top-notch products for those who want to stay compliant to standards, and now they're gone.
-
When do people finally wake up and realize that LLMs are bad?
LLMs need to be resisted by all means. The companies that create them are all evil.

@aral @malteengeler I wonder if I specialized in the wrong niche in order to work on Small Tech. I wonder if there is demand for data engineering in Small Tech.
If I were a web developer, I could spin up something like https://gaza-verified.org myself. If I knew Go or Rust or whatever (and had more ideas), I could build some app or service that helps people in a meaningful way.
But I specialized in organizing data. Like someone who hasn't organized their closet for a long while and calls Marie Kondo to clean up their wardrobe, I'm the Marie Kondo for data. I know how to move (big amounts of) data from here to there, and how to organize it so that information is easily accessible and insights are facilitated. Without people like me, data is just noise.
I was told that data is the new oil/gold/electricity. And I do believe that there are use cases for doing good, still waiting to be discovered. #socialism #PlannedEconomy Otherwise I'd probably already have switched careers.
But my specialization is most useful with large datasets. Small datasets aren't in such dire needs of good organization strategies, same as you don't need Marie Kondo when two pair of shoes and three shirts is all you own.
I wonder if my specialization is useful only to Big Tech.
Does anyone have ideas for how I could use my skills for Small Tech? Does maybe even anyone has uses for someone like me? #FediHire
I didn't study this to be a cog in the ad-tech surveillance machine. 😒

Whether you like DHH (David Heinemeier Hansson) or not, he has gone full Nazi.
If you don't believe it, just read his latest blog post (in which he reminisces about a London that didn't have today's number of immigrants and is hardly white anymore—ironic to read that from a Dane who immigrated to the USA, but he's white, of course—and sympathizes with the British neo-nazi scene, even glorifies the British nazis and some asshole who literally called for punching trans women "in the balls" if they enter the ladies' bathroom, but disagrees with the saying "punch a nazi" as he laments that words all too quickly become actions).
Or his blog post from one day before, where he downplayed and defended Charlie Kirk who thought that black people are inferior to white people, among many other vile disgusting things, and whose vocation literally was to go on college campuses and indoctrinate young people with hate.
Or …
I hope you see the pattern.

My god, would the people posing as journalists please finally cut the "raising concerns" bullshit?!?
We're well past that point.
Elon Musk is a fucking Nazi who exploited some applied mathematicians to build him a god-damned Nazi propaganda tool. That monster has already killed a million brown people by cutting USAID.
He's already killed 16% (1/6) of the number of Jews murdered during the Holocaust (6 million).
Journalists, grow a fucking spine and stop it with the "concerns" raised about "misinformation".
