Omarchy. I first heard about it from #NetworkChuck then saw an interview with #dhh on #lexfridman . Hard to not get swept away with DHH’s enthusiasm, especially as I share similar views on AI.

He *is* good friends with Ivanka Trump and Mark Zuckerberg, and Musk of course. Having also interviewed JFK Jr. maybe he does indeed have the body of some whistleblower in his trunk, next to a dead bear cub, for an upcoming BBQ party with Aella. 😄

On that note, I also recommend this video by the YouTube channel Second Thought on how US universities became corporations.¹

These "January classes" are "bullshit classes". They're there for the students to have some fun in a more casual lecture. For example, if they are international students from China or some other far-away place and can't afford to travel home over the Christmas holiday and are stuck on the campus and would have nothing to do otherwise. These classes are "pass or no record" classes, not "pass or fail" classes. Meaning there's no risk to take the exam, if you fail them, there won't be any trace in your papers that you tried but failed.

All the lectures Lex Fridman gave for MIT are such "January classes" during the winter break. These lecturers are also often unpaid.

Yet Lex Fridman pretends he's a researcher at MIT. The scribblings on the blackboard on his profile picture aren't even his nor do they have to do with ML. They are from the previous class of another professor who didn't wipe the blackboard and Lex poses before these equations to make himself look like a researcher.

Lex only ever wanted to be famous and have a large following. Making it look like he's a serious MIT researcher gave him the credibility for a headstart to become famous.

Fridman wrote a paper once that was utter trash and whitewashed Tesla's autopilot feature. That's how he got into the inner circles of Elon Musk. But since the paper was completely unscientific, it was later retracted by MIT. They no longer show it on their homepage. Lex is no MIT researcher.

Maybe it's just my social circles and others don't really watch or even know Fridman, but among my co-workers many watch Lex Fridman. I don't even live near Silicon Valley, I live in Germany.

I must admit, I watched his podcast myself until 2023 when I finally became disillusioned.

When he platformed more and more political guests, including JFK Jr., Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Balaji Srinivasan, Narendra Modi, Javier Milei, etc. and no longer "just":

- scientists and "scientists",
- Effective Altruists (of which most people hadn't heard of yet in 2023),
- Elon Musk (whom most people still considered a genius at the time of him being interviewed),
- cultists (like Aella),
- AGI boosters

it should have become obvious even to the more oblivious folks what the agenda of Fridman is.

But strangely many people still watch him (and grifter Andrew Huberman) in 2026, and when I point out the problems with these "celebrities", people get weirdly defensive.

Lex Fridman will be hosting DHH for a second time.

DHH is a white-supremacist Nazi and all-in on the brain-frying labour-devaluing use of "agents".

Someone I once listened to, said he doesn't go on the same podcast twice. Everything (or most) of the most interesting things you have to say is already touched on during your first (six-hour-long, in this case) appearance. Your second appearance would then likely focus on what happened, or what you have been up to, in the time since.

Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, is crashing the entire economy out of greed, through what some people euphemistically call "creative accounting", and what other people call fraud … thereby causing lots of misery and suffering, destroying many people's entire livelihoods.

Only a propaganda mouthpiece could say that such a criminal is "kind" or "humble", even as a child (as if Lex knew Huang when the latter was a child).

Some guy – a firm believer in the keto diet, who is also a giant charlatan – set out for a study to prove once and for all that conventional medical wisdom is outdated and that the ketogenic diet doesn't cause plaque in your arteries.

When he found that the keto diet in fact increased plaque worse than diabetes or obesity, on average by 42% within a year when he expected 0%, he omitted that information from his study.

If you don't want to die from a heart attack in ten years, please don't follow the ketogenic diet.
