  1. @707Kat @zzt Yes, the "founder" of e/acc (effective accelerationism) is Guillaume Verdon. Previously known only under his pseudonym "Beff Jezos".

    hachyderm.io/@davidculley/1162

It was on the Lex Fridman podcast where Guillaume "came out of the closet" and introduced himself to the world for the first time under his real name. That's how central the Lex Fridman podcast is as a mouthpiece for the billionaires.

Millions of people still don't understand it and watch happily, obliviously, Lex Fridman or Andrew Huberman.

"But Huberman helped me stop drinking alcohol!!! His no-cost science is *useful* to me. I won't stop watching him! 😤 I don't *care* if he speaks at Srinivasan's fascist Network State conference or if he fucked 8 women at the same time."

That's the kind of responses I get for telling people they're watching fascists.

  2. RE: mastodon.social/@EndIsraeliApa

Every time you read about some genocidal asshole, you can be sure that podcasters like Lex Fridman, Joe Rogan, Theo Von, Diary of a CEO, already had him on their show.

I wonder why Lex Fridman hasn't yet interviewed former German chancellor Olaf Scholz or German Nazi leader Alice Weidel. After all, Fridman often fantasizes about interviewing Hitler if it were possible.

"Ohh, but Lex also did that episode in the Amazonian rainforest with Paul Rosolie!!! That was sooo interesting. 🤩 I can't stop watching these right-wing propagandist podcasts!!!"

  3. Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, is crashing the entire economy out of greed, through what some people euphemistically call "creative accounting", and what other people call fraud … thereby causing lots of misery and suffering, destroying many people's entire livelihoods.

Only a propaganda mouthpiece could say that such a criminal is "kind" or "humble", even as a child (as if Lex knew Huang when the latter was a child).

If you still listen to any of these popular podcasts (like Lex Fridman, Joe Rogan, Dwarkesh Patel, Andrew Huberman, Naval Ravikant) … for Goodness' sake, please stop.

I don't care how interesting these are, or how much you like to listen about outer space or ancient Rome … these podcasters are lying to you and you don't even care about that.

  4. In case you still haven't realized: Andrew Huberman is a fascist.

To understand that, you first need to understand Balaji Srinivasan and his idea of "network states".

Srinivasan is a most deranged, narcissistic, despicable scumbag fascist. Him being an ultracapitalist, he wants to create city-states where the law of existing states doesn't apply. Meaning, no taxes and no regulation. He wants to rule these cities as part of an authoritarian technocratic plutocratic class. (Plutocracy means that the rich have the power, rather than the people as in democracy.) He wants a new feudalism: If you think of the medieval age or Game of Thrones, he wants to be a lord, and regular people will have to be his serfs if they don't want to get beaten by the police which he bribes.

Lex Fridman had Srinivasan on his podcast a while ago, where Srinivasan yapped about his fascist ideas for 8 hours straight! That narcissist sure loves the sound of his own voice. Completely insufferable.

And Huberman commented under that episode, along the lines of, "What a great episode, so much insight! Learned so much."

Now Huberman is a speaker at one of Srinivasan's conferences promoting these fascist ideas, among other well-known fascists/ultracapitalists.

Huberman may have helped you reduce your alcohol intake, but he's a giant 🤬 and evidently a fascist. Only idiots continue to seek advice from such an agent of evil.

  5. Meanwhile, popular podcasters such as #LexFridman and #AndrewHuberman still platforming that 🤬 Jordan Peterson.

But #Huberman also commented ”learned a lot“ when #Fridman let that insufferable fascist Balaji Srinivasan ramble about his totalitarian fascist ideology for 8(!) hours. (Look up ”The Network State“.)

  6. Andrew "Huberman sells a dream of control down to the cellular level. But something has gone wrong. In the midst of immense fame, a chasm has opened between the podcaster preaching dopaminergic restraint and a man, with newfound wealth, with access to a world unseen by most professors." —Kerry Howley for New York Magazine

  8. Here’s the deal- if we take time EVERY DAY (10 min) , to reinforce our capacity/ability to direct our attention to our thoughts as “just thoughts”, to notice our breath and breath with intention, slower, deeper, notice the sensations in our bodies, observe all this, don’t become this, then we can learn to become more at ease in this crazy world. #BecomeTheObserver

From this ease, we may choose wiser behaviors. We need our wisdom. 💙

  9. As is common with folks who have #adhd, I find #meditation to be extremely challenging. But this short segment by #AndrewHuberman makes me a bit more intrigued than the usual 'don't think about anything' that meditation seems to be.

The idea of 'watching' my thoughts & feelings go makes more sense than what I've ready on how to meditate before (maybe I read just that and glossed over it).

  10. Dr. Andrew Huberman does not look like a Professor of Neuroscience at Stanford, he looks like a CrossFit coach.

Proof that people are not always what they seem.
