@jonafato Aside from the many amazing people I met at these conferences, a significant highlight is how I discovered capabilities I didn't know I had, thanks to the encouragement of my friends in the #djangocommunity. I attended Pycon Namibia in 2016 out of my love for #python, and years later, I was awarded a community service award for volunteering work I did in Zimbabwe.

RWE hat in Alt-Manheim Gründüngung gesät, vermutlich so ein "Ausgleichsflächen"-Greenwashing. Naja, da war offenbar Maus- oder Johanniswicke mit in der Mischung drin. Gegenüber des Bauernhofgeländes, am Südostende eines der aufgeschütteten Erdberge. Vermutlich der östliche, dem Foto nach zu urteilen - dann wäre das so 50°53'0.24"Nord 6°36'9.40" Ost plusminus. Dieses Gelände war zumindest vor einem Jahr auch noch frei zugänglich; die Samen dürften bald reif sein.
Sieht aus wie ne schmächtige Dicke Bohne mit dunkellila geaderten Blüten. Das dunkle ist Melanin; eine der ganz wenigen Pflanzen, die Melanin enthalten. Auf dem Foto sind es die Hoschis mit den großen Blättern rechts unten.
Wenn ihr einen Weinstock habt, ist das DIE Gründüngung der Wahl - warmer kalkiger Boden mit bisschen Geröll, sonniger Standort; da steht die genausosehr drauf wie es Wein tut.
Und auch diese Wicke ist bei etlichen Wildbienen beliebt. Essen kann man sie nicht, aber who cares? Die Bienen, die die bestäuben, bestäuben auch Erbsen. -
In den Ruinen von Alt-Manheim am #Hambi bzw #Sündi finden sich auch noch interessante Johannisbeeren.
Ist zwar teilweise abgesperrt, potentiell einsturzgefährdet, und evtl RWE-Gelände, aber auf euer eigenes Risiko: der Bauernhof am östlichen Ortsausgang, Ecke Forster und Bergheimer, also an der Baugrube hinterm Friedhof vorbei und dann direkt die nächste Ruine rechterhand.
Nordostseite, an der Wand. Ein riesiger Busch. Könnte ne Sorte mit Felsenjohannisbeer-Genetik drin sein, also auch nicht die "normale" rote.
Nach Südosten raus steht auch noch ne schwarze oder ne Josta, hinten wo mal diese Lagerhalle war.Auf der TK25 von 1895 ist der Gebäudekomplex schon drauf. Wenn dieser Johannisbeerstrauch also über 130 Jahre alt ist, bin ich echt mal der Letzte, den das verwundert. Letztens habe ich eine verranzte Johannisbeere wieder fit gemacht, die 1925/26 gepflanzt worden ist; gib mir noch 1-2 Jahre und die trägt wieder eimerweise.
