For the uninitiated in the holiness of Coffee (...) caffeine is a protein (gasp). Proteins start to denature (lose their properties) at about ~53C/127F.
Every time you roast coffee, you lose some of the kick. Darker roasts are more flavorful (think smoked meats, same same), but have less caffeine than medium roasts.
It applies to brewing; the faster you brew/apply heat, the more kick left.

Speaking of, I opened a new brick o' coffee (vacuum packed), with a slightly lighter roast than I am used to.
I take 2 shots of espresso into a home latte, every morning. Coffee is my religion, so to speak. This one, I felt the JOLT. Yikes

Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) did a number on the Philippines. The 25th (yes) named storm of the season made landfall as it peaked, briefly to Cat4 (130mph, 948mbar), passed between islands leaving a trail of wreckage. Landslides, flash floods biggest culprit of the 140+ deaths.
Philippines has had a BAD season, this year, and every storm hits worse, due to infrastructure of response being down from the previous storm/earthquake/volcano eruption (yes).

Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba are NOT ready, nor prepared for this. Trop Storm Melissa is slatted to gather more water, energy and turn into a monster storm, meandering between the Greater Antilles.
That dark spot on the IR image is very hot air rising, sucking the storm in, along with more moisture. It's hurricane super food.
