  1. While we are on the subject of GOP violent extremism, we have today's events at the GOP mid-term convention, where one attendee as a number of Democrats were mentioned yelled "he should be shot!"

    mediaite.com/media/tv/el-sayed

This is a member of a political party in power calling for members of a rival political party to be shot. This is not peacetime conduct, it's the shit we expect in civil wars cold or otherwise.

  2. Trump's "high noon" plan to seize power after a GOP wipeout is now in the open it seems. The plan involves refusing to seat newly elected Dems if the GOP gets a House and Senate wipeout in the November mid-terms. If they get away with this, the result would be a "rump" Congress with dozens of empty seats and a potentially permanent GOP "supermajority." This would also mean the 2024 election would be the last meaningful election in the US with 2026 only a straw poll and possibly the kickoff to major unrest.

This is J6 all over again, but this time by a far more experienced adversary with far more inside power. I would fully expect the dirty deeds inside the Capitol to be backed by a howling lynch mob outside. This is how Trump behaves when the chips are down.

Conservative judge Michael Luttig warned Monday that President Donald Trump seems likely to push Congress into a "high noon" scenario if the midterms don't go well for Republicans.

If public polling is any indication, Democrats could win both the House of Representatives and the Senate after the midterms, which would significantly imperil the Trump administration. Trump seems to have preemptively dispatched his son-in-law Jared Kushner to negotiate some kind of truce with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), as reports of a meeting between the two men have rankled political analysts across the spectrum.

Luttig warned on a new episode of "The Court of History" podcast that a midterm wipeout for Republicans makes what he describes as "the final battle for America's democracy" all the more likely. The battle, he claimed, would take place on January 3, 2027.

That's the day that the 120th Congress is due to be sworn in. But that assumes that Republicans will agree to seat the newly elected Democrats. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has already shown a proclivity to delaying the certification of duly elected members after he held up Rep. Adelita Grijalva's (D-AZ) swearing-in for 50 days in 2025.

Congress adjourns at "high noon" on January 3, which means that Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is no longer technically in charge of seating new members. In that scenario, the House Clerk would notify elected members that they have been seated. Luttig warned that Republicans may try to corrupt this process to maintain power after the midterms.

"There are already discussions around the country that Mike Johnson would fire the existing clerk and replace that clerk with a loyalist," Luttig said.

That poses a problem for newly elected members representing states with election conspiracists working in the halls of power, Luttig added. If the states refuse to certify a member's election, then the House Clerk would not list those members on the roll to be notified of their seating.

Trump hinted at this possibility in February when he told MAGA media personality Dan Bongino that Republicans needed to control the midterms to win the elections, a statement Luttig described as "breathtaking."

  8. It's been just over six years. Twenty, if you count first documented outbreaks of CoV(b) #MERS.

We are still not at adequate levels of vaccination. Mostly due to political rightwing idiocy. Not mincing words, it's all MAGAts' fault. They bought the hype, gleefully.

BUT there are good news. Some recent reports show average reinfection cycles that hint that, among the vaccinated, COVID has reached just under flu reinfection cycles.

  9. First US reported case, mid January 2020. By late February, first US death

Right around this time, April 2020, word from the first vaccine hitting Phase-II (human testing). Pfizer used a leaked (thank you, dying Chinese scientist) sequencing from Shanghai.

MAGAts were gargling ivermectin, bleach and thinking about shoving IR lamps up their asses. Lest we forget.

Refirgerated truck, mobile mortuaries were seen in big US cities.

  10. IN CASE ANYONE WONDERING....

I am hitting a series of fora/exchanges with people, which took place at the onset of the whole COVI19 pandemic and political debacle.

The first bits of news flowing, of a raging spread of a virus, likely a respiratory hemorrhagic fever, from Wuhan were circa September 2019.

By December 2019 the Orange Anal Wart was pointedly ignoring it, after gloating about disbanding the CDC Pandemic task Force.

  11. Silver lining: this angry intolerance of dissent may just be what saves democracy. Because #MAGAts are NOT a unified movement; they're a loose & fractious coalition of fascists, racists, nationalists, redpills, talibangelicals, conspiracy theorists, and antigovernment nuts--many of whom hate EACH OTHER (for example, the racists & anti-immigrant nationalists *loathe* JD Vance for marrying a nonwhite daughter of immigrants) almost as much as they hate normies. And their ONLY unifying factor is #CheetoJesus.

Who's an 80-year-old fat guy with TERRIBLE health habits. God is gonna take him out of the picture soon enough, in sha' Allah, and on that happy day, THIS highly-successful intelligence analyst predicts MAGA will friggin' EAT itself, the way the #Daeshbags did when we convinced them they had a mole (which I will neither confirm nor deny...). 😅
