I always feel torn between two worlds with my primary laptops. :linux:
Either I'm optimizing my tiling and keyboard navigation experience on my Thinkpad or trying to create a smoother touchscreen tablet environment on my Surface.

Just bought a #Brydge SP+ for my #SurfacePro9 and then found out the company is liquidated. The touchpad has horrible latency. The MS type cover's touchpad is just fine, and I can't seem to find any touchpad specific OS settings. Anyone know if there's some way I can find an updated firmware or something?

In a new low for #Microsoft #Windows11, I had to disable wifi in the FIRMWARE of a new #SurfacePro9 before I could bypass the account login or creation step.
Eff off, Microsoft, it's never going to be connected to a Microsoft Account; it's not used that way by the students!

一个关于换电脑的纠结——
手里常用的一台机器是#SurfaceBook2 ，主要是出差、开会和去图书馆用，基本上算是全能机。主要的问题就是关机掉电，另外不算太轻。最近在考虑要不要换掉它。
微软官方有个以旧换新服务，可以换大概2k+的优惠券。心心念念研究半天，结果发现这个2k多的优惠券不能用来买翻新机和商务机，只能买个人版新机——这意味着我要在配置低了一些的#SurfaceLaptop 和 #SurfacePro9 之间选择，而且还得再掏8k-10k块钱。
关键在于，#Surface Pro 7+现在官翻商务机大概6k+。有这个东西一比，我搭进去一台能玩点游戏的机子，再打进去将近一万，换个不能玩游戏纯搬砖的机子，非常不划算。可要是不以旧换新，旧机器还留在我手里，似乎又没有搭进去6k多再买一台的必要。
所以结论是不买了。如果今年最后两个本子能中一个的话再考虑用经费买搬砖机。
（另外，微软的以旧换新，对于Surface Book用户来讲有点儿坑啊！实打实的配置降档还是挺难接受的。）

Went to the Microsoft store in London to try out the Surface Pro 9 out again, the size is decent, the haptic pen feedback only seems to work on Microsoft's own software ie Powerpoint. I have a feeling apps like Clip Studio, Photoshop etc will not support that... Pricing for a decent spec inc. pen and keyboard? about £2,200ish - Whilst Ipad is an option, I use windows based apps! Anyone own a Surface Pro 9?
