It finally happened! Husband let me install #Linux on his computer. The #Microsoft bloat finally got too much for him.

Forget #bazzite
I can load up any other gaming Linux. This won’t run. I picked the appropriate hardware config. And it won’t run. Two different usb sticks, it won’t even be read. #ubuntu #linuxmint #pop_os #NobaraLinux just work. But not Bazzite. Not on a recycled computer. Not on a brand new gaming laptop.Lesson learned. Which gaming Linux distro should I put on a warp drive gaming lappy?

Der Umstieg von Windows auf Linux ist vollbracht. Nur den Potter habe ich noch nicht hinbekommen, ansonsten wird jetzt alles mit Nobara erledigt.
Was ich so richtig erstaunlich finde, ist die Tatsache, dass ich heute wieder viel aufgeschlossener gegenüber neuen Programmen bin. Ich habe dadurch bemerkt, wie eingefahren ich doch war.

So, heute gehe ich den letzten Schritt: #Windows10 wird gelöscht.
Nachdem ich in den letzten 5-6 Jahren #Linux für mich neu entdeckt, es beruflich genutzt und seine Vorteile erkannt habe, wurde Windows nur für Spiele verwendet. Das kann Linux jetzt auch!
Vor dem #windows10endofsupport bekomme ich also locker die Kurve und kann meiner SSD nun #NobaraLinux gönnen.Natürlich habe ich auch eine SSD mit #LinuxMint. 😎

Having lunch and testing out some things in Nobara on my Surface. Haven't used a Linux Distro in a long time, so it'll take some getting used-to.
Thankfully I have some experience from my home server running linux, so it's not too bad. I like how light-weight everything is.
Ironically, I think the surface pen works better in the linux version of the same apps I was using on Windows 11, like Krita. Weird.

I'll eventually do more distro testing and fixing here when I get back to Colorado tomorrow evening onwards. Nobara Linux, from the sounds of things, seems to be the only distro working perfectly OOTB with this native-portrait display.
