Excerpt: "In moments of great resistance, and in moments of great horror, Palestinians need comrades who will stand by them unconditionally. This has always been true—not just of Palestinians, but of all the world’s exploited and oppressed. And this year, after a consolidation of power by the Israeli fascist movement, a dramatic escalation of settler violence in the occupied West Bank, and a serious isolation of the Palestinian movement through the Abraham Accords, it is truer than ever. An outpouring of international support in moments of both heavy resistance and heavy repression is one of the most crucial ways in which allies of the Palestinian struggle around the world can tip the scales in favor of an end to Israeli apartheid, because a free Palestine is unthinkable outside a revolutionary challenge to the imperialist world structure and to many regimes, both regionally and globally, that aid and abet the continuation of the Zionist settler regime.

If we are to mount that challenge, then the left must learn to identify not with Palestinians’ allies in the NGOs, in government, and in the state of Israel, but with Palestinians themselves. We must of course fight tirelessly for an end to the bombing of Gaza; but we must also support Palestinians not just as victims, but as agents of their own liberation, fighting by any means necessary to entirely dismantle the Israeli settler regime. So depressing the news that #AlfredoCospito's appeal to end his time under the brutal 41bis regime has been rejected. When I read that prosecutors were calling for it be revoked in Alfredo's situation I really had my hopes up for him. Looks like comrades are going to have to really increase the pressure to put an end to this barbaric, inhumane torture.

"Friday night, January 20th, Chicago abolitionists in solidarity with the movement to Stop Cop City and Defend the Atlanta Forest glued shut the card reader and keyhole at a Bank of America ATM and “Virtual Banking” facility in Chicago’s affluent Lincoln Park neighborhood (2428 N Lincoln Ave). They also left messages, including STOP COP CITY, DEFEND THE ATLANTA FOREST, and ACAB on the ATM windows and door. The incident was in response to the murder of a forest defender by police in Atlanta on January 18th, 2023.

Bank of America is a top funder of police foundations across the US, in particular the Atlanta Police Foundation, which is funding the destruction of Weelaunee Forest in “Atlanta” to build “Cop City.”

Aktion gegen die Verdrängung von obdachlosen Menschen in Stuttgart

"Die Eisen-Schienen sollten verhindern, dass sich wohnungslose Menschen dort ausruhen oder übernachten. Wir haben diese menschenfeindliche Architektur entfernt, die allein die Funktion erfüllt, „problematische Personengruppen“ aus dem Stadtbild fern zu halten.
Sie soll verhindern, dass Menschen, die sich den Konsum in den überteuerten Cafés nicht leisten können anderweitig niederlassen.
Sie soll verhindern, dass die zahlende Kundschaft nicht mit dem Elend, Wohnungslosigkeit und Sucht, die als Kehrseite des Systems, von welchem die Reichen profitieren, konfrontiert wird.
Sie soll verhindern, dass jene, und das sind die meisten, welche näher an der Wohnungslosigkeit sind als am „high-society-life“, sich ihrer Situation jederzeit abrutschen zu können, nicht gewahr werden.

Wir denken, dass nicht die Menschen, welche durch diese Architektur verdrängt werden sollen, das Problem sind, sondern die Zustände in denen sie leben müssen, das kapitalistische System, das Wohnungslosigkeit und psychische Erkrankungen wie Suchtmittelabhängigkeit produziert."
