Cities are Replacing Flock with Axon / Motorola for their Mass Surveillance Network
Flock Safety became the protested brand. Axon Enterprise now sells Outpost and Lightpost readers that livestream and feed Axon Fusus; Fleet cameras scan plates from patrol cars. Motorola Solutions bought VaaS for $445 million in 2019 and kept Vigilant Solutions and Digital Recognition Network. The vendor changes, the mass surveillance network remains.
Cameras are not the only issue with surveillance systems like these. These devices can also log Audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and RFID and other signals your devices broadcast. Then they fuse data collected without warrants with commercial data-broker records and "AI", to create a comprehensive database of everyone surveiled, who everyone is, what that are doing, and what they "will do".
These are not just cameras or license plate readers, this is a surveillance network. It's a violation of privacy and the 4th amendment. And we should not let this happen.

"A #Salvadoran immigrant who was being held at a troubled federal detention center in Newark died during the weekend, according to the city’s mayor and Senator Andy Kim.
"Federal officials confirmed the death of the man, who was being held at the detention center, Delaney Hall, to Mr. Kim’s office, according to the senator’s spokeswoman. Ras Baraka, the city’s mayor, identified the detainee as #EdwinJovannyLopezCornejo.
" 'In less than a year, yet another family is forced to endure the unimaginable loss of a loved one while in custody at Delaney Hall,' Mr. Baraka said in a statement.
In December, #JeanWilsonBrutus, 41, died after a medical emergency, federal officials said at the time. As the four men fled from the agents, one of them ran into the busy road and was struck by a semi truck. The person died at the scene.
" 'The pedestrian was struck by the tractor trailer in the right lane and sustained fatal injuries on scene,' said Master Sgt Dylan Bryan, a Florida highway patrol spokesperson, in a statement. 'The tractor trailer immediately stopped and attempted to render aid to the victim.'

12,000 protestors in Santa Cruz city and another 3,000 in Watsonville are the preliminary numbers.
With a county population of 262,406, Santa Cruz did our part in achieving the 3.5% number that predicts the downfall of an authoritarian regime.
This "3.5% rule" has become a symbolic threshold to describe the tipping point at which public participation in nonviolent protest can bring down an oppressive or authoritarian regime, per the studies by Professor Erica Chenoweth. In the U.S., 3.5% of the population is about 11.6 million people (based on a population of ~331 million).
Early numbers show 8+ million people in the US protested in all 50 states and every congressional district.

The data includes 'a person’s immigration history, family relationships, personal connections, addresses, phone records, biometric traits, and other information.' Through Palantir, AWS receives millions of dollars annually from the federal government to host ICM. Last April, the Trump administration awarded Palantir a new $30 million contract to create '#ImmigrationOS,' which is 'a new tool to provide [ICE] with enhanced capabilities to support deportation efforts.' ImmigrationOS is likely hosted on AWS, which has a strategic partnership with Palantir."

Excerpt: "The Oglala Sioux Tribe unanimously banned ICE from #PineRidge and rejected a federal immigration agreement, during a special session of the #OglalaSioux Tribal Council on Jan. 21, 2026.
"Upholding their #sovereignty, the Oglala Tribal Council confirmed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement asked the Tribe to enter into Section 287(g), a federal agreement that would have allowed tribal law enforcement to act as immigration agents for ICE.
"The Tribal Council formally rejected any Section 287(g) agreement and voted to ban all ICE agents and activities from Pine Ridge.
"The Council resolution also states there is to be nation-to-nation consultation with the Interior Secretary, as required by federal law, concerning any detained Oglala Lakota.
"During the live broadcast, Council members said Lakota are being intensely harassed in #DenverCO, and #SiouxFallsSD."
