Yesterday was Eid el-Adha. This is the biggest festival for Muslims, next to Eid el-Fitr at the end of Ramadan.
On this day, we commemorate Abraham accepting to sacrifice his son to obey God’s command.It’s customary for people to sacrifice a lamb on this day, while thanking God and praying for the lamb’s peace.
Normally, everyone feels happy and joyful.But this year, the atmosphere was a bit more morose. Everyone is tired of living in the middle of so much destruction.
I’m glad I’m surrounded by a loving family, and I’m glad I’ve got loving friends abroad.
