  6. In this study, we consider the actual crisis of #publictrust in the #scientificsystem as a symptom of its lack of
#sustainability and argue that #societalimpact should be measured and understood not
exclusively in terms of the #usefulness of science to solve complex social problems, but also in
terms of its capability to display and communicate its value to #differentaudiences.

  11. "ChatGPT says on this <social issue our group in a meeting disagrees on>: ..." is the most disturbing type of discussion contribution I encountered this week. Is that what we are succumbing to? Listening uncritically to machine garbage made from stolen data piles?

  12. Sam Altman wants to gather a huge amount of money, $7 trillion, to invest in AI technology. He used to lead a company called OpenAI, but there were some issues, and he got fired and rehired. Now, he's aiming to get a massive amount of money to fund his plans.

Altman believes that technology, especially AI, can solve many problems in the world, like improving healthcare, and education and even fixing climate change. However, his plan requires a lot of data and computer power, which can be challenging to manage.

Some people think Altman's idea is great because they believe in using technology to fix everything. But others are not so sure. They worry about the amount of power and control Altman's plan could give him, and they question whether it's the right approach to solving the world's problems.

Overall, Altman's vision sparks debate about the role of technology in our future and raises important questions about how we want to use it.
