Vandaag had ik het enorme voorrecht om te mogen stemmen in het Academiegebouw van de Universiteit Leiden.
Ik al eens in het Museum van Oudheden en in de Stadsgehoorzaal gestemd, maar het Academiegebouw had ik nog niet. Gotta catch em all.

Shout-out to my colleagues from Leiden University, University of Applied Sciences Leiden, and mboRijnland, who are striking today in Leiden and The Hague.
They are protesting the announced budget cuts on higher education, and represent the start of a staggered Higher Education strike that will continue at least for the coming five weeks or so.

I made a new friend yesterday!
Yesterday was my first time in a year and a half of doing the Singelpark* walk in Leiden, like I used to do a few times a week when I was living here before.
I was eager to see which cats were still around; and if they’d remember me. I didn’t see any of my old friends, but this new cutie came running to me as soon as she and I made eye contact.
Her humans built her a little perch to sit on so she can observe her kingdom in the fresh air. I’m obsessed!
