Solidariteitsactie met Jemenitische vluchtelingen

IND-loket, Den Haag, vrijdag 15 mei om 14:30 CEST

Sinds 29 april houden Jemenitische vluchtelingen uit allerlei azc’s in het land een doorlopend sit in-protest bij het IND-loket aan de Rijnstraat 8 in Den Haag. Dat protest vindt letterlijk elke dag plaats van 9:00 tot 17:00 uur en duurt tot 30 juni. Op 15 mei organiseren de vluchtelingen op die plek een solidariteitsactie van 14:30 tot 17:00 uur, waar mensen welkom zijn die de strijd van de Jemenitische vluchtelingen willen steunen. Wees solidair met de vluchtelingen en doe mee met de actie!

De Jemenitische vluchtelingen “eisen eerlijke asielprocedures en meer erkenning van de aanhoudende oorlog, de humanitaire crisis en de onveilige omstandigheden in Jemen”, aldus de oproeptekst. “Recente rechterlijke uitspraken en internationale rapporten blijven aanleiding geven tot bezorgdheid over de huidige beoordeling van de situatie in Jemen en het grote aantal afgewezen asielaanvragen, ondanks de verslechterende omstandigheden in het land. Daarom roepen we iedereen op om zich aan te sluiten en solidariteit te betuigen met de Jemenitische vluchtelingen in hun oproep tot gerechtigheid, waardigheid en menselijkheid.”

De straat op

Wederom zijn er verkiezingen, dit keer voor de gemeenteraad.

En wij vragen: trap je er niet weer in?

D66 voerde een schijnheilige nationalistische “progressieve” campagne. Waar ze gebruik maakten van de esthetiek van menselijkheid. Regenboogvlaggen, holle beloftes over #protectthedolls, meelopen met de Rode Lijn, “Vrouw, Rob is er voor jou” tijdens de feminist march en klimaatdrammen terwijl Rob Jetten achter de schermen al bezig was met flirten met extreemrechts.

Het resultaat? Een huwelijk met wederom de VVD, waar geen enkele progressieve waarden overeind zijn gebleven. Sterker nog, de “frisse wind” van Rob Jetten, is eigenlijk niets meer dan de VVD die door kan gaan met het afbraakbeleid waar ze al meer dan 15 jaar mee bezig zijn terwijl ze kunnen schuilen achter een nieuw gezicht.

En het beleid van de VVD is al een lange tijd vrijwel niet meer te onderscheiden van de PVV, kijk maar naar hoe de zogenaamde asielwetten er nu doorheen worden gedrukt en hoe verbouwereerd de VVD was toen de PVV het kabinet liet vallen op het punt migratie terwijl Dilan en Geert dezelfde dingen wilden, maar dan met een andere toon. Het strafbaar stellen van “illegaliteit” terwijl je pretendeert liberaal óf een centrumpartij te zijn is van de zotten. Om over de christendemocraten nog maar te zwijgen.

Daarom vroegen wij de afgelopen tijd aan D66 stemmers, heb jij spijt van je stem? De reacties stroomden binnen en honderden mensen gaven toe spijt te hebben van hun stem. Dit is natuurlijk maar een greep uit alle kiezers die er bekaaid zijn afgekomen. Waarvan hun ogen pas openden toen ze doorhadden dat ook Rob Jetten niet het tij gaat keren, maar een vrolijk nieuw gezicht is voor hetzelfde racistische beleid. Geert WIlders is inmiddels zó jaloers dat hij Rob Jetten “Rechtse Robbie” is gaan noemen. Rob Jetten is niet links, niet rechts, maar rechtdoorzee en laat Nederland razendsnel de Noordzee in zakken.

Dus als jij zo in het stemhokje staat. Trap er alsjeblieft niet weer in.

Verandering komt niet van meelullen met mensen die niets anders doen dan handelen vanuit haat en inspelen op het onderbuikgevoel van menig Nederlander. Verandering komt van principes en daarvoor durven te vechten met woord én met daad.

Om stil te staan bij hoe Rob Jetten zijn stemmers bedroog, lezen wij op 14 maart de namen voor van alle stemmers die dapper genoeg waren om toe te geven dat ze spijt hebben. We komen samen om te rouwen om Robs integriteit en herdenken elk rood bolletje dat naar D66 is gegaan onder valse voorwendselen. We zeggen samen, niet weer. Trap er niet in.

Urgent call for solidarity with Kazakhstani queers

On November 12, 2025, the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan passed a law banning the "propaganda" of "non-traditional sexual orientation and pedophilia"; now this law is in the final stage of adoption---the next discussion of the Senate is on December 18. This law, in essence, criminalizes the open existence of LGBTQ+ people in public spaces, both physical and digital. The adoption of this law means that LGBTQ+ people who speak openly about their lives, experiences, identities, relationships, and rights will risk hefty fines and even detention (for 10 days). It also means that any activism and advocacy for the rights and interests of LGBTQ+ people, even the basic rights to exist without fear, violence, or the need to hide and conceal their identity and relationships, will be threatened with intimidation and violence by the authorities and severe penalties.

The rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ people in Kazakhstan are already severely infringed on, even without draconian laws. Even now, before the law is fully adopted, brave Kazakhstani queer activists who fight against the law and violations of LGBTQ+ rights are being arrested, tortured, forced to pay big fines, and monitored and persecuted by the authorities.

One doesn't have to look far for a realistic prediction of the consequences of such laws. Russia passed such a law in 2013, and according to numerous studies, violence against LGBT people, both from the authorities and ordinary people, has increased dramatically, stigma and discrimination have intensified, and the health of LGBTQ+ people has deteriorated.
