A lesser known Goldring from among the various members of this Galician klezmer family who were playing in NYC, the family was mainly from Skalat, I think, although Jacob here (1881–1938) seems to have been born in Lviv. I'm not clear on his relation to the more famous bandleader Sigmund Goldring (1888–1947) who appears in a lot more klezmer sources in NY.

Saw a sweet friend yesterday in my neighborhood. A Cooper's Hawk flying around. I'm a keen observer of #urbanwildlife. We have seen golden eagles, and foxes live in the #cemetery across the street and play in our yard. There were deer but unfortunately our dogs made them move.
I stopped walking on a crowded street to gawk. Everyone around me stopped to see what I was looking at. There was lots of joyous commotion and conversations as we all watched this friend fly about. #germantownphilly -

No one knows Louise's real story. Legend has it that she traveled to Natchez sometime after the Civil War in search of her fiancé. For reasons unknown, she found herself stranded and husbandless.
Too proud to return home, she became a seamstress, maid, then "woman of the night." After dying in her mid-20s, a mysterious benefactor paid for her funeral and this headstone, more than what most paupers received.

Okay, just read this #GhostStory: "The Dead and the #Countess" by #Gertrude #Atherton.
Maybe I'm dim - but I did not understand the ending. Was it meant to say the old priest was killed for what he said to the Count or that the Count understood what the Priest said and had the #cemetery moved - and when the Priest died, he was put in the newer location - away from the Train?
