  1. This is the second train gravestone I've seen, this one much earlier than the first, and I noticed this gravestone that looks like it might have been paid for by a woodworkers union and says "killed" rather than "death"

  2. Spent an afternoon at Highgate Cemetery when on vacation in the UK and this is one of my favorite photos from the trip. #photography #cemetery #victorian

  3. ❓#QuestionOfTheWeek Have you ever photographed headstones at a cemetery? 🪦

Tell us about your experience. Was it a single ancestor you'd been searching for, or a systematic sweep of an entire cemetery? Did you run into unreadable stones, and how did you handle them? Any surprises — a name you didn't expect on a family plot, or a burial that contradicted what the paper trail said?

And if this is an activity you enjoy, consider volunteering with our Cemeterist Project, which coordinates the photographing and documenting of cemeteries and connects those images to profiles: wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ceme

  4. back to the PMBS grave photos and seeing which ones I missed. These Marks are all related though I still haven't sorted out everything. Rochel Leah (1862–1944) is the mother, Simon (1890–1969) and Samuel (1884–1941) were the sons & both drummers, Joseph (1860–1937) possibly their half-brother.🤔the father Morris/Moshe I haven't come across is any US docs yet, possible he never came to America. original family name was apparently Markowitz.
