As for Skoll’s quote in the piece (see below), I have to chuckle. A certain powerful Silicon Valley figure once told me a very different tale as to why billionaire Skoll started Participant Films: he wanted to, er, meet Hollywood actresses and starlets, so he became a producer. 🤷♂️

Je partage à nouveau une campagne de recrutement de participant·e·s pour un projet de recherche à Bron (métropole de Lyon). Je n'ai aucun lien avec ce projet de recherche.
"Dans le cadre de ma thèse réalisée au laboratoire Ergonomie et Sciences Cognitives pour les Transports (LESCOT - Université Gustave Eiffel), je vous propose de participer à notre étude, portant sur la détection des usagers vulnérables de la route.
Cette étude de 2 heures environ (et indemnisée de 50 euros) se déroule au Campus de Bron et consiste à conduire dans un simulateur de conduite et à détecter des usagers vulnérables de la route (piétons, cyclistes, trottinettistes).
Des performances de détection, ainsi que des données oculaires (positions du regard) enregistrées à l’aide d’un eye-tracker (l'oculomètre) seront collectées afin d’étudier l’engagement attentionnel, ainsi que les stratégies oculaires mises en jeu dans la tâche de détection.
Pour pouvoir participer à cette étude, vous devez remplir certains critères :
- Être âgé(e) entre 21 et 45 ans
- Ne pas porter de lunettes de vue, ni de lentilles de contact
- Avoir le permis B depuis au moins 2 ansDe plus, ne pourront pas être incluses les personnes se trouvant dans au moins un des cas suivants :
- Personnes souffrant du mal des transports et/ou du simulateur
- Personnes sensibles : personnes épileptiques, femmes enceintes, personnes présentant des troubles vestibulaire et/ou de l’équilibre, personnes sujettes aux migraineSi vous êtes intéressé(e) par cette étude, merci de contacter l'expérimentatrice : [email protected].
