Lutter contre le chômage en limitant l'immigration, réserver le travail aux vrais citoyens... Le discours est repris que ce soit en 1850, 1900, 1935... Sauf que certains métiers sont régulièrement refusés par les, soit disant natif, car ils sont dégradants.
« Il n’y a pas de sot métier, il n’y a que de sottes gens. » Tout métier a une valeur et requiert des qualités chez le travailleur.
La personne immigrée veut simplement travailler comme tout un chacun. L'histoire, comme la mémoire sont citées quand ça arrange ou que cela sert un discours, et mise sous le tapis quand ça dérange. L'imprécision, la norme. Le mensonge prend l'ascenseur quand la vérité l'escalier.
