Von der Aufstockung der #Waffenbestände Israels und der Abschirmung des Landes vor der #Rechenschaftspflicht auf internationaler Ebene bis hin zum Einsatz von US-Mitteln und Personal zur #Verteidigung Israels hat die Biden-Regierung alles getan, um sicherzustellen, dass Israel nicht nur seinen beispiellosen Angriff auf #Gaza aufrechterhalten kann, sondern auch nicht die vollen Kosten des Krieges tragen muss.

Biden ging in seinen #Wiederwahlkampf und rang mit Donald #Trump um den Titel des „besten Freundes Israels“ – ein grotesker Wettlauf nach unten, der während der US-Wahlsaison zur Tradition geworden ist. Als der Präsident schließlich beschloss, aus dem Rennen auszusteigen, hofften einige, dass Vizepräsidentin Kamala #Harris uns aus dieser Abwärtsspirale befreien würde. Sie wurden bald enttäuscht.
