My all-time favorite chiptune is the Monty on the Run Commodore 64 game soundtrack, composed by Rob Hubbard in 1985.

Hubbard made the C64's three-channel mono SID audio chip sing and dance. My favorite bits are the guitar solo in the middle of the tune, and the accordion solo at the end.

Is there a WiFi modem enabled SID player for the C64...? I feel there should be something like that. Yeah, I know that many SID tunes are standalone programs, but there must be some tool that can access HVSC and play tunes, surely?

#retrogaming #retrocomputing ho terminato di costruire la terza #SIDcard #ReSeed che rende possibile utilizzare su #CommodorePlus4 e #commodore16 un #sid #sid6581 o #sid8580 ... Ho fatto prove massive e pare funzionare tutto... In più devo dire che forse l'8580 suona un pelino meglio con il software che sfrutta la SIDcard forse perché originariamente il design si Solder prevedeva proprio un 8580... Ad ogni modo ci farò ovviamente una puntata del Vault ...ne vale la pena :)

Dopo aver sbattuto la testa per diversi giorni sulla scheda ReSeed del grandissimo Giorgio SukkoPera finalmente stamattina ho avuto l'illuminazione di aggiungere un cirtuito di delay per il clock del SID in quanto il CD4520 cinese usato per generale il clock del SID risulta essere troppo veloce... non resta che assemblare le rimanenti 7 ...
