  5. Chinese military activity around Taiwan increased slightly in July 2026, with 261 PLA aircraft sorties and 75 median-line crossings recorded. Although the figures remained well below July 2025, there is no indication that China is reducing its military pressure around Taiwan.

  6. @IndyMediaAus

The article panders to #China ‘s #PRC foreign policy in accepting the #PRC’s claims that any territories the #PLA *invaded* — the most prominent case being the annexation of #Tibet — where historically part of modern China (the *Han* empire, another falsehood). The same illogic applied to its claims on #Taiwan.

This makes TWO unbearable foreign policy errors from an Australian perspective. The other, of course, concerns Israel and its Zionist govt.

Tempted not to read the remainder of the article after this monumental error.

  16. TL;DR: I printed replacement shelf pins for IKEA PAX. Tiny part, but the difference between a stable shelf and a wobbly mess -a critical bit of plastic.

This is a very IKEA sort of problem: the furniture is fine, the shelf is fine, but somehow with the flex of daily ‘use’ by my kids these pins break or get lost. It’s a proprietary-ish support pin that I’m sure you could drive to IKEA to grab; but that takes time and usually ends up with costly spur-of-the-moment impulse buys.

    The print

IKEA_PAX-KOMPLEMENT_SHELF_PIN.3mf. If you’re printing anyway i’d recommend doing a few spares – plenty will fit on the plate.

Printed on the Prusa Core One in PLA: 0.20 mm layer height, 0.4 mm nozzle, 50% infill, two perimeters, support material enabled.

PLA is probably fine for a shelf pin if the load is sensible, but this is also the kind of part where I would not pretend to know the long-term strength from the slicer preview alone.

    Result

The pins fit snugly, and the shelf feels trustworthy after loading.

  20. Chinese military activity around Taiwan remained lower in June 2026 than a year earlier.

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense reported 208 PLA aircraft sorties, 36 median line crossings (the lowest in a long time), no bomber flights, and a continued PLA Navy presence of 5-10 ships per day operating near Taiwan’s territory.
