  1. Cool, cool - seems like #Rythmbox has absolutely destroyed my #iPod library:

All of the cover art is mangled:
Cover art that should belong to Artist A Album A is at Artist D, Album B.

    It's all totally messed up!

And all I've tried to do was transfering a podcast from my Linux machine to my iPod (nano) (hint: it totally failed at that!).

This is the first time I'm using this software and it will be the last.

Is there no working solution for this!?

  6. I have this odd issue with my laptop where whenever I play music using "traditional" apps like #Lollypop, #Pragha, #StrawberryPlayer, #Rythmbox, #QuodLibet or #Exaile, it pauses at random times for a few seconds, like if the music is buffering or something.

Interestingly, it doesn't happen with #mpd, #Monophony or through #Firefox. And it has happened with every distro I used with this laptop (#Fedora, #Debian, #EndeavourOS).

I suspect is related to #pipewire-pulse, but I'm not sure.

  11. My friend wasn't happy with #Rythmbox for music, so I installed #Audacious.

He's under Linux Mint with #XFCE on an old Medion Laptop. But the things is the machine goes to login screen after a while during playing music (and stop playing music!!). How to fix that? Where?

I looked a little yesterday, haven't much time & I wasn't able to find where to fix the problem.

  14. I have officially given life to TWO #iPods, an #iPodNano 5th gen. and an #iPodShuffle 2nd gen. by "#rooting" them (using #GTKpod and some other hacks) and allowing #FOSS applications which include libgpod to import and export songs.

Such applications are #Clementine #Strawberry and #Rythmbox if I'm not mistaken

    I'm really proud of myself!!

  22. is a better application for listening to than .
I have it insralled on my . One big advantage is the built-in search engine.
For example, let us search for the podcast "Start with This":
    1. Start Rythmbox
    2. Click on Podcasts.
    3. Click the Add tab.
    4. Fill in the search string
    5/ Click "Searc"

  23. CW: GNOME rant

@frostwolf Yeah, that's why I literally purge from my installs...
    github.com/greyhat-academy/pif

Furthermore it reminds me of @fuchsiii's rant re: GNOME & KDE:

Gnome allows too little settings and customizations, requiring one to manually fiddle in cringetastic YAML files and backup / restore said configs, whilst KDE allows to customize everything but inherently looks like shit and is more cluttered than Microsoft Word ever has been.
