I’m late coming back with the mystery answer! It’s giant TACTICAL black rubber bands! I think about 65 in 4 sizes. I use them often to close up bags of food that need to be tightly closed for freshness and often things put in the freezer or refrigerator.

I’ve always just used miscellaneous rubber bands, often the ordinary beige ones. But as I added to my list of things to order I had the thought maybe there are heavy duty large rubber bands and there are! Check out the screenshot. If you look at the Amazon product page the comments cracked me up. Manly men happy to have “tactical” rubber bands. And use them in ways I am not acquainted with.
