  1. Most #ResearchOps certifications come from one author, one company, one market. This one was built inside a network of 32 consultancies, with almost two years of iteration. I wrote about how, and what the @UXalliance endorsement really means:

  11. Hoy he querido escribir sobre operaciones de investigación con usuarios (#ResearchOps) desde la perspectiva del liderazgo. Café para los muy cafeteros que tendrá un impacto reducido, pero que me parece de máxima importancia.

  24. Anybody else out there using #Linux as their everyday driver for #UX and #UXresearch work? Having just got a 'new' (refurbished Dell) laptop I've installed #Ubuntu - which I've been using for years for home use. But with more or less *everything* now cloud-based or available on linux (e.g. Figma) I can't really see any reason why not? Most of my colleagues are on Macs, so it's always cross-platform anyhow.
Are there any key 'killer' applications (it used to be the Adobe suite, but I haven't used that in years) that you can't run in linux? Thoughts?

(And before you ask - yes, I've used and very much appreciated, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, and other distros. I think they're all great.)

  29. I tagged research data over multiple years.

There was an unintended outcome of tagging ALL observations from every Agile sprint—rather than only tagging observations that related to the current sprint's research focus…

As time passed, some of the qualitative data became quantitative as the sample size grew.

  34. I did user research on an Agile team for a few years. I tagged ALL observations, not just those about any sprint's key questions.

As the product team evolved its focus, I was able to slice and dice my data to answer questions we hadn't yet formally asked.

Each time, I could leapfrog the first study into informed follow-up studies.

In the long run, extra Time Tagging = Time Saved when starting a new product direction.
