The Register editors know very well that the key to the control of large "#AI" models is huge deployments, an arms race. The capability to extract information from a huge amount of data means power, especially in the form of surveillance instruments. China mastering this field is bad news but we'll see how it works out. It's not too late to start #longitudinal comparative studies between societies that follow the Chinese, the European or the US approach. #Cybernetics is a #social #science

Creating a reflective portfolio during a semester resulted in higher GPA among pre-service teachers (N = 63) four semesters in a row (β 0.1-0.2, p < 0.001) compared to other PSTs that had similar GPAs and Pell grant elligibility at the start of the study.
