The worst part about #developing #35mm #film is realising I now have to #scan it. Time to get the scanner out of the closet, at some point I'll get setup for #dslr scanning.

I'm trying out a new mosquito-control contraption made by Ortho. It features a landing pad laced with powderized, lethal fungus spores (Beauveria bassiana) that can be transferred via tarsi to standing water elsewhere in the yard or in your neighbors' yards. The water in the container also has an insecticide (pyriproxyfen) to kill any larvae that might develop from eggs left by females. It's the home version of the expensive In2Care trap that can only be purchased by licensed pest-control folks. #mosquitoes #ortho #in2care

im nächsten jahr bin ich wieder in #schottland und überlege, ein paar davon mitzunehmen.

Woof! That was a hell of a session! Just need to trim off a little bit of rod in the middle columns and then I can start soldering up the microcontroller. Unfortunately it’s a little too late to turn on the Dremel! Absolutely in love with using copper rods instead of wire though, it’s sooo pretty!

Two new entries to my mechanical DIY keyboard collection.
A Lumberjack with USB-C mod, and a Discipad.

Both are through-hole component only using the ATMEGA328p. Currently running QMK.

The Lumberjack uses Panda switches to reduce noise. But I had to install blues again on the Discipad. I just love the sound and click. However, the panda switches are surprisingly nice.

The keycaps are not final, I am searching for some plank ones.

I also tried mocking an #ortho #mechanicalkeyboard with the keycaps I got but it's such a pain since it's hard to find 6u spacebar (using a 7u here), 2u shift, 2u backspace and 2u enter all with 2 switch posts.
If I find them, I'll build an ID75/XD75. 😉

All you #ortho #keeb users out there (like @mpilquist) – how do you deal with switching back and forth between your orthos and laptop keyboards?

Even though I absolutely love typing on the orthos I own I've gone back to staggered layouts since the constant switching back and forth was driving my muscle memory crazy :(
