my 87-year-old #father commandeered the tv. he’s watching “#earthshot prize awards.” i asked why we have to watch this.

“i may be old… but i still care about what happens here when i’m gone.“

he followed that up with…

“humans are around for about 200,000-years. we polluted everything in just the last 550-years or so. we’re a bunch of dummies.”
