The facilities are designed to protect data centers and C-suite execs, and cost tens of millions to build. The pitch? The apocalypse. It does NOT increase the supply of #NuclearWeapons, and newer Fusion warheads actually have FAR LESS #NuclearFallout than the old ones: this decreases the risk of #civilian exposure to nuclear elements, and #NuclearWinter.
This is an alternative to #Putin attempting to fire a #missile recently which malfunctioned and destroyed the entire launch site.
While nuclear weapons are a dangerous thing to have, and preferably should NEVER be used, #NATO keeps a supply for retaliatory purposes: Russia alone has more nuclear weapons than all of NATO combined.
NATO's nuclear weapons are only usable in specific, retaliatory and existential circumstances, such as a full-scale nuclear first-strike by Putin.
Either way, as having nuclear weapons is neither new nor exclusively #US policy, the claim that it increases the likelihood of #NuclearWar is FALSE.
