  1. Did #moom for Mac just decide to publish an update that removed all my muscle-memorized hotkeys in favor of a new selector that's more convoluted?

  6. OMG! I just discovered an #Automation solution using #ManyTricks #Moom and #SteerMouse to fix a regression in #macOS that was introduced in 10.13 High Sierra, and has been getting worse with each OS update. Bliss! A major workflow I used was broken, and now I can work in my preferred way again.

    Documentation tomorrow.

  16. Running late this month thanks to some fairly heavy work commitments and rapidly approaching deadlines, but my round up for last month is now up. Probably a little lighter than usual, but there’s at least a few nuggets in there for folks. Top tips for #Alfred & #Drafts, #Moom & #Bunch, a dash of #homeautomation, a podcast (#mpu #relayfm), and a sprinkling of other good stuff.

  21. Does anyone know a tool or trick how to save and restore the position of applications (windows) on the connected screens?

When I'm switching between office and home setup with each multiple monitors, the apps seem to move between screens (randomly). I'd like the browser always to be on screen A at home and Screen B in the office ... etc.

  31. @al3x In a word, no.

Per this FAQ page from #Moom developer Many Tricks, it’s not possible to sync its settings automatically between Macs for several good reasons. It’s also a bad idea to try to use third-party sync services like Dropbox, as Moom is not coded to expect multiple copies of itself to keep a single settings file open: manytricks.com/osticket/kb/faq

You *can* quit Moom on one Mac, export its settings from the command line, and then import them with a command on a second Mac.

  36. I am a very happy #moom user now for at least 8 years, in which I got all upgrades for free. Even when #macOS versions changed considerably and also in a time, when other companies already kinda extorted money by forced updates with updated macOS versions all the freaking time.

Hence, the paid upgrade today for moom 4 by #manytricks was just a no-brainer, especially given that they don't went subscription:
