My shampoo bottle boat got awarded at an expo, sitting on a simple stand, so I had to make something more appropiate: Floating dock/store, made from an old radio, ball pens, paint can lids and more. Plus tons of styrene. -

Since I got a bit lost in the Suzuki exhibit (more than 3 hours) the plan had to be changed, and I went to see the model dioramas by Yamada Takuji.
This gentleman, probably unknown to us, has won numerous awards for his dioramas and has been featured in everything from television to specialist magazines.His small, exquisite exhibition, where one can lose oneself in the details, is hidden in a shopping mall (entrance fee 300 yen).

Gum container turned into a septic tank, post-apocylyptic fallout style. Added a acrylic, old revell truck bit, old plastic bottle cap, some paint. Needs a number sprayed on plus a decal saying inflammable or something and then I am super happy with the result!

Finished swamp scavenger diorama. Added a few more plants (water and land). The truck part is revell, the boat made from a shampoo bottle. Everything is handmade, no printed parts. Might add more scrap to the "bin" but I am almost happy with it! -

Finished diorama of my scratchbuild gorilla mech, made from junk and bits! The tree is a nice contrast to the ugly military side of this diorama and also a nice reference for scale.
