@mwichary - The 'Ministry'/Llewellyn-Smith lettering (https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/device/ministry/ministry-light) used for Pre-Worboys (https://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/w/index.php?title=Pre-Worboys) road signage in the UK might be an example of this.
There are still some remaining examples of this dotted around the country but it has been replaced by the more globally famous #JockKinneir and #MargaretCalvert designed 'Transport' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_(typeface)).
Not sure this would be known/recognised outside of those based in the UK with an interest in 🛣️ #Signage. 🤔

The Guardian: Meet the army of amateur archivists racing to save US history in national parks. “Hundreds of volunteers, many of whom are anonymous, have submitted photos of national signage to the digital archive. As of 3 August, the site has compiled 17,236 photos, including at least one in nearly every national park and historic site in the country.”

This guide, created by Melissa Bravo, aims to enhance community garden accessibility for all members using Universal Design principles. It provides guidance on alterations community gardeners can make, focusing on #AccessibleWalkways (entrances, width, safety, materials), accessories (#ramps, #railings, #signage), water access, planters (raised beds, vertical gardening), #AccessibleTools, and #SensoryGardenPlants. By building accessible gardens, the guide emphasizes providing opportunities for agricultural education, access to locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, and therapeutic stress relief for people of all abilities through therapeutic horticulture.
The guide promotes the principles of Universal Design to create environments of #inclusion in community gardens, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from garden participation. It highlights specific design considerations like operable gate handles, appropriate path widths, and stable surfaces to enable access for people with limited mobility.
