Just about to pick up this project again. An Apache chopper turned into some weird mech.
The major details are done, and I’m happy with the silhouette. Next is lots of sanding and some more detailing.
Also a bit stuck on the colour scheme. I’m thinking blacks and blues ala Blue Thunder.

Tonight I worked on some Blood Bowl sideline staff for the Chaos Chosen.
First I disarmed some ebay underworlds bestigor to get an cranky looking coach, but I'm not sure if he should be holding something with that raised fist. What do coaches hold even? Clipboards? Megaphones?
Then I kitbashed a few other things into an ungor surgeon/shaman. The head's too big and the arms are too skinny, but chaos mutations are quirky like that.

Luckily I bought a set of spare needles when I got the airbrush and the rest really is pretty sturdy for a 30ish Euro airbrush.I think I overdid it with bits and wires and will probably have a few choice words for myself once I start painting. I also need to start hunting for a pilot mini, preferably a frog. For reasons.

Do I have dozens of primed minis waiting to be painted? Yes.
Do I have shelves of untouched boxes sitting sadly in the cupboard? Also yes.So the only logical thing to do is to not touch any of that and spend the last few weeks kitbashing this little dude from some cheapo ripoff gunpla kits.
It looks like a mess atm, but the primer should tie it all together. The dome will stay transparent and I still need to find an appropriate pilot. -

The Youtube algorithm recently got me hooked on videos about making SciFi spaceship miniature models, dioramas, kitbashing, movie prop building, practical effects and sculpting weird aliens, monsters and kaiju from plastic toys and garbage. And I love it!

Really wanted to get some painting in this weekend but didn’t quite get there. Did manage to get a bunch of stuff based / primed though:
- My kid’s Raven Guard AoD #KillTeam — he’s been carefully kitbashing these which has been delightful to see. When he had the idea he asked me if we could look for some printable bird skull helmets and it turned out that was very doable!
- A proxied Hunter Clade kt I’ve been building — still waiting on the awkward oval base for one of the gunners though. Really happy with the customised ruststalkers / infiltrators!
- The extra models I’ve built for my beaky AoD kill team — these had been sat waiting to be based / primed for a while…#AngelsOfDeath #AdMech #WarhammerCommunity #miniatures #ResinPrinting #KitBash
