Realmente, sono rimasto con tipo 5 contatti activitypub nel mio canale streams, ed ho appena avuto un coma di 8 lunghi minuti 😱
La questione non è quanti contatti activitypub io ho, ma quanti seguitori/seguiti ha la persona alla quale io mi sono rivolto scrivendo un commento in un suo post. Se codesta persona ha tipo 700 contatti, allora nel mio sito arriveranno nello stesso identico momento così tantissime richieste, che riusciranno a mandare in coma il mio sito nel giro di un minuto dopo il mio commento, e lasciarcelo per x minuti.

Da das #Mastoverse ja inzwischen so voller Geschichts- und Faschismusexperten ist, hätte ich gerne mal von denen die Herkunft und Geschichte des Faschismus und Antifaschismus gelesen. Die Vor- und Nachteile von beiden Seiten und weshalb das Ziel des Antifaschismus ebenso eine Diktatur ist, wie beim Faschismus, nur eben von Links?

Mich ärgern würde ich jetzt nicht sagen. Ich lach mich inzwischen über eine solche Heuchelei im #Mastoverse nur noch schlapp, weil sie ein Beweis dafür sind, dass Mastodon einfach nur noch Schrott ist und für das gesamte Fediverse nicht nur schädlich, sondern auch für den schlechten Ruf sorgt.
Einer der Gründe, warum ich es inzwischen gut finde, dass die 08/15 Tölpel das Fedivere einfach Mastodon nennen. Somit reitet sich die Software selbst in die Scheiße :milk_shrug:

Das Problem, dass alle auf #Mastodon verweisen, wenn sie vom #Fediverse reden ist nicht nur die Dummheit der Personen, die solchen Schwachsinn von sich geben, sondern auch, dass die #Mastoschrott Entwickler von heut auf morgen ihre "Marktmacht" ausnutzen könnte und nur eine Komponente einbauen müssen, die nicht OpenSource ist, um ein eigenes #Mastoverse zu etablieren bei dem jede andere Software, trotz identischem Protokoll, vom #Mastoverse ausgeschlossen sind.
Somit würde #Mastoblöd zu dem werden, was diese Honks bei #Threads kritisieren :milk_shrug:

Aber wenigstens wäre das richtige Fediverse dann die ganzen Narzissten los, die sich dann in ihrem eigenen #Mastoverse selbst alle weg blocken, weil sie mit der Diktatur einzelner Instanzen nicht übereinstimmen und #Eugen wäre der neue #Musk.

Eine typische todon.* hetze. Wie war das nochmal, dass jeder selbst entscheiden könnte, mit wem seine Instanz föderiert und mit wem nicht? Tolles #Mastoverse, bei dem versucht wird, eine Diktatur zu errichten.
Aber was anderes erwartet man von #Mastodon ja inzwischen auch nicht mehr :milk_shrug:

Blockt Threads so viel ihr wollt. Ich persönlich werde es auf keinen Fall blockieren, weil es endlich eine Chance bietet, mit Künstlern in Verbindung zu treten und zu folgen, die auch was drauf haben. Das, was sich hier im #Fediverse, sry, #Mastoverse, Künstler nennt, ist entweder extrem toxisch, oder kann einfach nix.

Von mir aus können alle zum #Fediverse #Mastodon sagen. Dann leidet wenigstens nur der Ruf der Software und andere Dienste haben dann nichts damit zu tun.
Vielleicht kann sich ja Mastodon eines Tages komplett zu einem eigenen #Mastoverse abkapseln. Anschließend kann man wirklich sagen, dass Mastodon ein eigenes #Netzwerk ist. Ansonsten ist es einfach nur, mMn, Bullshit. Und jeder, der sagt, man soll das entspannt sehen, wird es wohl nie lernen. Wenn man denen jetzt beibringen, dass Mastodon = Fediverse ist, werden die niemals das Fediverse akzeptieren, als das, was es wirklich ist. :milk_shrug:

Der Vorteil hier im #Mastoverse #Fediverse #Mastodon ist, dass Toots nachträglich noch einmal bearbeitet werden können.

Really not trying to be negative, and actually just thinking out loud. So far, and I might have missed it all, I haven't seen much activity from #mastoverse platforms, especially given how many there are.

Obviously "failure" is in the eye of the beholder and a strong word. But my general axe-to-grind is to ask what it means if a platform/format is mostly left to fend for itself and what it means for how to think about what can/should be built here.

Some thoughts about #fullsearch of federated-with instances. 🧵 1/2

1. Conflating any ill will you have with Supernovae at #Universeodon, with the issue of search indexing on the Fediverse to justify your fediblock won't help resolve the issues around search.

2. It isn't global search. While we shout, lock down, and don't participate in building the additions to our protocols that the #Fediverse needs, we've been letting #Google index the Fediverse. It's already searchable and Google's new Perspectives tab is going to make it even easier. Maybe we could fight that rather than keep thinking it doesn't exist and continuing to write ineffective Facebook-viral style "I do not give permission..." copypasta?

3. The #Fediverse does not respect your do-not-index-my-posts flag. It never has. It can't. It's not supported by the #Mastodon API, as @[email protected] explains, and nor is it supported at #ActivityPub level and will need to be added into a new AP protocol.

Every instance server from the #Misskey (#Calckey, #Foundkey), #Pleroma (#Akkoma), and #Friendica (#Hubzilla, #Streams) lineages has full search of federated-with instances as default. All these services actually pre-date the creation of Mastodon in 2016 you can read @[email protected] 's post for their commentary on such. Fediblock all of them to create your very own #Mastoverse or you could become part of building a better, safer, Fediverse? Perhaps through participating in the Fediverse Enhancement Proposals? #FEP

It's kind of both equally sad and equally hilarious to see some folks in the #Mastoverse raging about Universeodon are genuinely shook to suddenly discover that the wider #Fediverse has had federated #search available for years.

When you get told that Mastodon=Fediverse and that its culture and capabilities are those of the wider Fediverse, well this is the ignorance you can expect. Many of the same folks screaming about indexing, and pushing the fediblock, still have not offered any solutions to Google already indexing everything - much wider scope than #Universeodon, or those of use on #Misskey, #Calckey, #Akkoma, etc, can achieve and it's searchable from the public web.
