They should have inspected the carriage instead of rushing her. Losing a wheel had cost them more time than they had gained by hurrying her.
It was late when the wagon pulled into a dark, ill-kept inn. Even in the dark, Mao could see that the incident that had required traveling to the country was bigger than she’d imagined. A dozen soldiers stood around looking solemn. Her breath caught in her throat. They were Jinshi’s guards. Had he been ambushed, fallen ill, been poisoned?
There was no point in speculating; she would find out soon enough.
Ignoring protocol, Mao jumped out of the carriage, almost running into Basen, who had hurried to meet it.
“Come, you’re late,” he said by way of greeting. She wanted to protest that it wasn’t her fault; instead, she focused on what was important: “What’s going…?”
Basen didn’t let her finish. “Not here. I’ll explain inside.” His voice was tight, and his brow furrowed with worry lines that reminded her of his father’s.

С радостью сообщаю, что #Mashed на ПК отлично работает (почти) 20 лет спустя и всё ещё подходит для совместного развлечения небольшой компании. И графон в новых разрешениях хуже не стал!
🚗💥🎮📺🛋️🍕
Только с тех пор стали гораздо популярнее крупные экраны и беспроводные геймпады, а встроенные видеокарточки стали намного сильнее (на Intel HD 620 игра просто летает в 1080p на максималках).
И просят они за это сегодня (со скидкой) 12 рублей. У меня на дисковой версии наиграна в ней с друзьями, наверное, пара сотен часов, не меньше, я искренне эту цену не понимаю.

Вспомнил тут про игрушку #Mashed, в которую поигрывал с друзьями на посиделках в школьные годы.
Началось с того, что я обнаружил её на дисках от #Asus, шедших в комплекте с, кажется, видеокартой. Не помню даже, полная версия там была или демка. Но я поиграл и мне зашло.
Затем годы спустя наткнулся в магазине на русскую версию. На диске. У нас был полный комплект геймпадов, 17-дюймовый ноут, пицца и мощный генератор эмоций в лице этой игры.
Сегодня без особых надежд открыл #Steam.
И чёрт возьми, она там есть!
И стоит почему-то именно сейчас… 12 рублей. Я удивлён уже тем, что она там вообще есть. Даже немного обидно за разработчиков.Впрочем, ещё надо будет посмотреть, как она с современным железом работает, но 12 рублей за такое – не задумываясь. Даже если не работает сейчас и на этой системе, по крайней мере будет легко её достать обратно.

И стоит почему-то именно сейчас… 12 рублей. Я удивлён уже тем, что она там вообще есть. Даже немного обидно за разработчиков.Впрочем, ещё надо будет посмотреть, как она с современным железом работает, но 12 рублей за такое – не задумываясь. Даже если не работает сейчас и на этой системе, по крайней мере будет легко её достать обратно.

Вспомнил тут про игрушку #Mashed, в которую поигрывал с друзьями на посиделках в школьные годы.
Началось с того, что я обнаружил её на дисках от #Asus, шедших в комплекте с, кажется, видеокартой. Не помню даже, полная версия там была или демка. Но я поиграл и мне зашло.
Затем годы спустя наткнулся в магазине на русскую версию. На диске. У нас был полный комплект геймпадов, 17-дюймовый ноут, пицца и мощный генератор эмоций в лице этой игры.
Сегодня без особых надежд открыл #Steam.
И чёрт возьми, она там есть!
