  3. 🫟 𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒔 🫟

    Ella no.

Mientras Amazon empezaba a despegar, ella seguía persiguiendo otro sueño: escribir novelas.

  5. Doing It Her Way

Before MacKenzie Scott became one of the world’s most generous philanthropists, she was a novelist. Turns out she still is.

MacKenzie Scott has given away $26B. Now she’s releasing a novel—but you won’t find it on Amazon

Scott is releasing her new novel piece by piece, having dropped the title, epigraph, personae, and contents on Saturday, the prologue on Sunday, and the first chapter called “Monday” on Monday. It appears the entire novel will be out by Aug. 31.

Interestingly, the story is being serialized on Substack and is still being released, but this link takes you to the main page.

  8. Times of India | Quote of the day by Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife MacKenzie Scott: "My approach to philanthropy will continue to be thoughtful. It will take time and effort and care. But…" - why thoughtful generosity should never be delayed

AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.

MacKenzie Scott, in her 2019 Giving Pledge letter, declared that her philanthropy will be both thoughtful and urgent—she will not wait for perfect, fully vetted solutions but will keep giving until her “safe is empty.” The article explains that while careful preparation—understanding communities, vetting organizations, and planning—remains essential, it should never become an excuse for delay. Since the divorce that gave her a four‑percent stake in Amazon, Scott has donated more than $26 billion through her Yield Giving initiative, favoring unrestricted grants and trusting recipient groups to decide how best to use the funds. This trust‑based, rapid‑giving model, the piece argues, produces real improvements in organizational stability and challenges the conventional view of wealth as something to be preserved rather than actively deployed to address pressing social needs.

  13. #MacKenzieScott being left off some top philanthropy lists is probably more about how private she is. She has never seemed interested in fame, press tours, or building a public image around her donations.

She just quietly gives away billions to organizations, including major support for HBCUs and underserved communities.

MacKenzie Scott just gave $40M—the largest single gift ever—to the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, doubling her previous donation and signaling steadfast support for DEI as many organizations cut back. Her donation accounts for 20% of the Fund’s lifetime total and follows a $42M gift to college access nonprofit 10,000 Degrees. As less than 2% of historic sites on the National Register reflect Black history, this boost comes when it’s urgently needed, sending a powerful message that cultural preservation and equity matter.
