Heute startet Apples Mac-O-Mania mit den neuen M4 Prozessoren und täglichen Ankündigungen, wenn die Gerüchte stimmen. Um ehrlich zu sein, lassen mich die neuen Geräte-Updates relativ entspannt. Mein Mac Studio M1 Max ist jetzt über zwei Jahre alt und lässt keinerlei Wünsche offen, weder in diesem, noch in den kommenden Jahren. Ich schaue mir aber gern die neuen Modelle an. Man bleibt ja trotz allem ein Apple-Fan. 😎

@paul With #M1Max Studio as my main, a new #m4 mini would fit a vacant spot on my second desk perfectly… Come on Tim, take my money!

With no normal work, I get my #M1Max to the absolute limits. But if you open the Message app once and want to deny the request to the child, the Mac will freeze, as Apple simply does not get its software regarding parental control under control.

Ok...just one more #MARCHintosh photo to round out 2024: some new little friends for my trusty Mac Studio, just brought back from Venice.

Tried launching #NoMansSky on my #M1Pro #MacBookPro running #macOSSonoma.

The game crashed twice when it was about to load me into the game from the star field loading screen.

After months of work getting Linux to stabilize on M1 processors, it is finally ready for mainline users. ZDNet says Linux 6.2 is expected to become Ubuntu 23.04's default kernel and will be included in Fedora 38 before the April release of Linux 6.3.

@StewartLynch @StewartLynch I traded in my M1 mini 1st gen for M1 Max Mac Studio with 64Gb ram, for Xcode and other development tools and its awesome, depending upon your workload more memory should be better performance than more cores. Almost no processing noise and use all the ports and then some, the “cube” I always wanted! #MacStudio #AppleSilicon #M1Max #AppleCube
