I miss #libhandy-based apps so bad. Theming was easy, apps were modern-look and convergent, just like #libadwaita. I wouldn't mind if gtk-based DE like #Xfce picked the #libhandy project as it's primary building-block (replacing libxfceui).

« #Libadwaita 1.0 has been released, just at the end of the year. Libadwaita is a library implementing the #GNOME HIG, complementing #GTK. For GTK 3 this role has increasingly been played by #Libhandy, and so Libadwaita is a direct Libhandy successor. » https://blogs.gnome.org/alexm/2021/12/31/libadwaita-1-0/

So richtig gescheit ist das noch nicht, aber so einigermaßen: #dino mit "libhandy"-Patches. Verfügbar u.a. in #Debian
experimental (Version: 0.2.1+git20210824.93e2e0d-1+handy). Das arm64-Binary läuft auf #Pinephone mit #Mobian, sicherlich auch auf #Librem5Mit der (geplanten) Portierung auf #libadwaita wird #libhandy dann wohl überflüssig.
Ansonsten: #profanity 🙂

So apparently #libhandy became #libadwaita in #gtk4. Fortunately a quick sed worked flawlessly.

Manche koennen sogar bestimmte Electron Webapps ersetzen 😍 -

Why all the hate on #purism they might have oversold the #librem5 as a daily driver but I hope most bought it to progress the ecosystem... I'm so greatful for the work they did on #phosh and #libhandy that make my #pinephone usable.

A WIP pass[1] frontend using #libhandy on #phosh / #postmarketOS.

@hrodnand Look, you have a point and I guess I shouldn''t have tweeted it this way. There is a steep difference in price, but having followed both projects from their start (not that publicly) I just felt that pointing out that the #Librem5 does something great is warranted. I am really tired by all the shit @purism get, even by people that like #phosh and the #libhandy apps, which simply would not exist without the #Librem5 project. That said, I love my #PinePhone and should read less reddit.

Convergence is here 🚀 we're really proud of what our design team have achieved with libhandy and Phosh. Many of us already run Phosh on our laptops/desktops for daily use.
