@mindaugas @sealnose @itsfoss The two aren't really comparable, as #Purism finances it's #FreeSoftware PureOS distro which works on their computers and phones, #FOSS drivers and #Pureboot development and upstreams the work so other #gnuLinux distros and users can also benefit.

Best would probably be to neither use Android (be it GrapheneOS or /e/is or lineageOS or whatever) nor iOS, but something real open with open software on open hardware produced without any suppression in the delivery chain. I upgraded my #Librem5 to PureOS Crimson.
Does anyone else experience slower app start times, and additionally I can only watch YouTube videos in 144p resolution. Usually 360p was definitely fluent.
Is this a known issue?

On the positive side of things:
- Camera is waaay better! It is a really solid camera now.
- Battery performance is better for me
- UI looks better in most places
- Fully functional dark mode

Maybe the #Librem5 costs a lot, but I would not phrase it as "too expensive". Keep in mind that #Purism only once earns money when selling the device. No money is earned from selling user profiles or pushing advertisements or apps.

Purism contributed a lot to the #MobileLinux eco system, also on the software side:

- upstreaming of #mobile patches to several #GNOME applications and Linux
