@MrManor I have three, and enroll all of them when ever possible. Practical as one is connected to my ID badge for work, one is always on my keychain and one is for backup. Also, all three have the same key for generating challenge/response keys for the very few systems that require that. I only use the NFC part to unlock #KeePass2Android.

@frauke_bu die Programme unterscheiden sich leicht in Oberfläche und Funktionsumfang. Ich nutze #KeypassXC unter Linux und #keepass2android .. funktioniert gut als Kombi .. Gesynct via Nextcloud... MAC ist nicht so meine Welt, aber die CT hatte einen guten Betriebssystemübergreifenden Artikel zu dem Thema .. Allerdings hinter Paywall .. @chaospott

@tomjennings using #keepass2android for a long time because of the embedded cloud sync option. But that can be also handled in other ways. On Linux #KeepassXC. For me a perfect combination also covering the basic needs you mentioned.
As keepass2android is only on google play, i also thought about switching to #keepassDX from the @IzzyOnDroid repository. Comparisons I know are mainly from the german @heiseonline or @heisec magazine

@kuketzblog Leider kann #KeepassDX noch immer nicht mehreren Datenbanken gleichzeitig öffnen. Deswegen muss ich leider bei #Keepass2Android bleiben.

I ordered a #YubiKey for myself. I was originally going to get a #NitroKey as I much prefer their open source approach. Always support your local KMUs! (small businesses)

However, I really want to be able to unlock my #KeePass database on both #Linux and #Android with it.
The NitroKey 3 supports the proprietary YubiKey challenge-response protocol, but neither #KeePassDX + #ykDroid nor #KeePass2Android work with NitroKeys. (#KeePassXC on desktop does, though!)

So #Keepass2Android ist definitiv zuverlässiger beim Erkennen der Passwortfelder im #Androidbrowser als #KeepassDX. Von der Bedienung ist Keepass2Android mindestens ebenbürtig. Das heißt jetzt kommt Keepass2Android bei mehreren Smartphones zum Einsatz.

@Em0nM4stodon @keepassxc I use it as well. I also use #Keepass2Android Offline on my phone so that I can use #syncthing to synchronize the database file between my PC and my phone.

Also ich kann den #qrcode mit dem #Handy vom PC scannen. #keepass2android speichert den Inhalt direkt in der Datenbank den Textinhalt des Kodes.
#keepass2android kann dann schon selbst das #TOTP berechen.
In Keepass2 (auf dem Win-PC) kann man mit diesem Text den Datenbankeintrag so bearbeiten, dass auch Keepass2 das TOTP berechnen kann. In Keepass2 kann man auch das #autotype so einstellen, dass das TOTP gleich mit eingegeben wird.

Mit #Keepass2Android kann man direkt den Inhalt des QR-Codes für #totp direkt in die Datenbank einscannen und dann den Kode errechnen lassen. In #Keepass2 kann man dann den Datenbankeintrag erweitern, dass auch dieses den Kode errechnen kann.
Dann ist auch Autotype mit dem totp möglich.
Der Zugang ist dann halt ohne den Besitz eine bestimmten Gerätes möglich
Letztendlich hängt das TOP an einer 52-Zeichenkette mit Zahlen und Grußbuchstaben.

@mort I use #keepass2android which opens the kepass-db directly on the #Nextcloud via WebDAV. Never had any sync issues...

Bitte ändert das #Passwort (Menü/Privatsphäre und Sicherheit/zweistufige Bestätigung und dort auf zusätzliches Passwort erstellen). Am besten per #Keepass(XC), #KeePassDX (Android) oder #Keepass2Android oder bei #IOS #KeePassium, #Strongbox oder ähnlichem Passwortsafe ein sicheres Passwort erstellen und dort einsetzen. Speichern in Keepass* nicht vergessen!

Darüber hinaus ist es eine gute Idee, bei https://haveibeenpwned.com nach eigenen Daten (Mail, Telefonnummern etc.), die in #Hacks auftauchen nachzuschauen und sich auch bei Neuentdeckungen benachrichtigen zu lassen.

Das Telegram seine Benutzer nicht aktiv per Systemnachricht über das Sicherheitsleck informiert hat, ist dann auch nochmal ein ganz anderes Thema...

So, I've been transfering my passwords manually to #KeepassXC for the past two days now, and during the process, I'm also changing my passwords and emails; and not transferring dead services. (As well as deleting them once transfered.)

I originally used #Keepass (the original), then #KeepassX. My #Android client of choice was #Keepass2Android. It worked pretty well together at that time, until the upgrade of the keepass database and Android, things started to get messy.

It was when I moved to #LastPass. After that service experienced a major(?) brand shake up, I moved to another service, this time with #e2ee (end-to-end #encryption).

Today, I'm going back to keepass because things are running smoothly again, especially with the Android integration. Both Keepass2Android and #KeepassDX have full support of KeepassXC and the latest features.

I just can't decide between Keepass2Android and KeepassDX. Regardless, I like them both combined with KeepassXC. The way I want things to be.

This is definitely my favourite irregular software donation prompt (#Keepass2Android). I've also been really impressed by the #signalapp donation ramp. A one off request for a single donation, then a follow up notification asking if I'd like to make it regular. All done and laid out within the app somehow without paying the google tax.

- es gibt tolle apps für Android #keepass2android
- wird seit Jahren weiterentwickelt
- nutze es seit 2004 und hatte nie Probleme

The #KeePass2Android app can also save wifi passwords in my @keepassxc vault, which is something I've definitely appreciated on this trip so far between various wifi networks and not having cell service on my personal phone for this trip (I don't log into personal accounts on my work hardware).

💡 #TIL that @keepassxc supports multiple URLs per entry! Just add them as Additional Fields named KP2A_URL_1, _2 and so on. This is what #Keepass2Android also supports. Matches my workflow nicely! 👌

And did you know it supports #TOTP #2FA, too, and can also auto-type them? No more authenticator apps needed. (Although you might want to store TOTP secrets in a separate database).

@koire I combine #KeePassXC for password managment and #SyncThing for backup/distribution. Works wonderfully for me. #KeePass2Android can even SSH to a remote host to keep my mobile device's copy of the password database current.
