  3. Update: this works very well for me: geraffel.social/@giaco/1137611

hello fellow users of keepassxc on linux: is there a way to lock the database without the window acquiring focus?

When the window is toggled away via the tray icon and I run "keepasscx --lock" in a script, the window unhides.

Can I suppress this behavior and only have keepasscx lock the db without any windows appearing?

  5. @timjan when I first switched to #KeePassCX, not as soon as I should have, but long enough ago, that I crashed several websites that couldn't handle a really long, high entropy password with all the funky characters. Though it was more common that the new account form would allow such a password, but the login form would not. More than once I had to hack the login field width so I could successfully enter my perfectly cromulent password to get into my new account and try a shorter password.

  7. @hanscees @jalefkowit actually, I was about to reply to my original post, that recently I had a stroke... suddenly entering my high entropy password became almost impossible! This was especially bad on sites that would not let me see what I had typed! It took me almost 1.5 hours to get into my insurance web site and activate my new coverage.

Thankfully, my password manager, #KeePassCX came to the rescue.

Just realized I'm typing #KeePassCX instead of #KeePassXC, but former is wrong. Edited 😂
