Ich nutze seit Jahren #Enpass als #Passwortmanager auf iOS, macOS und Linux. Nun kriegen sie es nicht nur nicht hin, Deb822 zu unterstützen, das letzte Linux-Release ist 6.11.12 (07/25) , wohingegen für Mac und Windows 6.11.19 bereitsteht (02/26).

Ich war zufrieden mit der Software und würde nicht ohne Not umstellen wollen. Aber es fühlt sich an, als würden sie die Linux-Unterstützung einstellen... Hat da jemand hier mehr Einblick?

This is, why I hate it when I am forced to "share" the keys to my castles via the cloud of password-managers like 1Password. Most local (WiFi) sync suck, or simply are dysfunctional (yes, 1Password, looking at you!). @Labonitamascota Ich war einer der ersten, die 1Password adoptiert haben. Damals gings noch ohne cloud. Dann wurde es immer schwieriger, bis am Schluss das lokale Synch nicht mehr klappte. Alle Kommunikation bis zum CEO brachte kein Ergebnis und keine Verbesserung. Dann bin ich auf Enpass gewechselt und jetzt kann ich vermeiden, dass meine "wie auch immer verschlüsselten" Tresore auf irgendjemandes statt meinem Computer liegen. #Enpass #passwortmanager #passwort

wenn unter #macOS eine App - hier #Enpass - im Dock als WINZIG-ICON auftaucht und nicht mehr weg geht …

… außer neu booten - gibt es einen Trick das wieder zu korrigieren (also ohne abmelden und alles beenden was gerade so offen ist und woran man so arbeitet)

ane ga ngira, import data dari #KeepassXC begitu lancar di #VaultWarden. Dulu pernah import malah isinya ga karuan.

apalagi dari #Enpass, perkembangan yang bagus!

But switching managers by disabling and re-enabling the extension has left it unable to use Touch ID but the desktop app is fine. No combo of clearing or reinstalling has resolved. Kind of a deal breaker.

Well #PasswordManagers were not as secure as we all thought.
All Password Managers that use a browser add-on/plugin for auto-fill functionality are susceptible to #ClickJacking security vulnerabilities that could be exploited to steal account credentials.

Je vais peut être migrer de gestionnaire de mot de passe, de #bitwarden vers #enpass.
Tout d'abord l'application desktop enpass est native (Qt, pas en Electron app web), et pas de cloud. En effet Enpass permet de synchroniser via le wifi le coffre de l'application mobile avec le coffre de l'application de bureau. Il peut stocker sur des services cloud mais c'est qu'une option.
Pour la sauvegarde des coffres, #restic vers un bucket S3 fait le job.

It's also #TechIlliterate-friendly.

*Okay it doesn't run on #BSDs and #Unix except macOS & iOS, but then again:
People who daily drive #OpenBSD, #FreeBSD or #NetBSD are usually #TechLiterate enough to basically setup their own #password storage system from scratch & sync and backup stuff.

Da zieht man wirklich in Erwähnung von #Enpass zu #KeePass zu wechseln, sucht sich ansprechende Clients raus und arbeitet ein paar Stunden an Export/Import der Daten. Und dann zerschießt #KeeWeb bei jedem Sync das File und der Entwickler verkündet genau heute, dass er nicht mehr genug Zeit für das Projekt hat. 🙄😑
