@cybervegan Obviously, you don't want to foot the bill for #insync. But informing your customers of good premium software is invaluable if the free/open-source options don't fit their needs. There are a lot of crap vendors out there, often just repackaging already open source software.

@cybervegan It isn't #opensource unfortunately. Sometimes you have to #bitethebullet and use software that isn't 100% what you want for user acceptance.
I'm very pro open source. None of the available options for syncing would have passed my wife's user acceptance or been a nightmare to support. I still believe #insync is still the best in breed #googledrive client compared to other sync clients over the years.

@cybervegan I've been using the #Insync sync client for #googledrive for over a decade now. It has been great. I've had a few hiccups over that decade but nothing too bad and no data loss. I know the Insync client also has a #OneDrive integration.
As for pricing, for personal use, it has a one time payment for life option since you pay by the account that I never felt was too bad.

I haven't used it with Dropbox, but #InSync (https://www.insynchq.com/) does a great job with Google Drive syncing, being faster than even the official Google Drive app (Linux performance compared to the windows google drive app)
It does support dropbox, though. And you pay once per account you sync with (can use it on any number of machines, last I checked). It's not open source, though.

Upgrading to #Xubuntu #Noble — 24.04 from 22.02 — and a review
The upgrade to Xubuntu 24.04 introduced both enhancements and challenges. Key issues included difficulties with re-enabling third-party #PPAs, slow initial load times for #Thunderbird, and complications with #Insync. #Snap applications are more prevalent, and they require careful management to avoid storage issues.
