In addition to Jan Bradley's hit recording, there was also another version of the song, produced by Curtis Mayfield:

Every weekend I look back at the preceding week in Kpop and pick out a music video or performance that I have particularly liked. This week I have chosen H1--KEY -- Not Like A Movie.
Although I enjoyed the rock sound that this group have had on their last couple of title tracks, I prefer to hear them on a mid-tempo track like this, as I feel this type of song shows off their vocals to the best advantage.
This song came out towards the end of December but does not seem to have received much attention subsequently. Perhaps the agency should have ensured that the song title is immediately visible in English on the YouTube MV to facilitate exposure beyond Korea.
Yel, the one with the ponytail, is my current H1-KEY bias, but this could all change by next week!

I hope you're happy we're no longer in that dreadful "no travel" stage of the pandemic that was the context for this release!

I know I featured this song very recently, but I have to be honest and say that I love these outfits. Together with the song, they give us a stage as crisply refreshing as a lemon sorbet.

Of all the “Summer Queen” releases this year, “Lights On” is the one I have enjoyed the most, the chorus exercising a melodic appeal to me. I quite like the MV, but I absolutely adore this nautically styled M Countdown stage.

As always, thanks to @Erzbet for the theme and the organization.
Weeekly -- Good Day

Wonderfully catchy song from Weeekly, intended, I think, to boost their Korean fans facing exams.
Perhaps the specifics don't matter that much - it should work for anyone with a test, exam, pile of grading, observation, evaluation, or some other ordeal

Weeekly -- Vroom Vroom

This song has brought me such joy. This is another stage where I love the outfits; the stylist has achieved that "unity, not uniformity" look I appreciate so much.

The discoish, vaguely citypopish, and at times wistful sound appeals to me, as did the restrained vocals; this is kpop for grown ups! Although the MV had its moments, I found it disappointingly incoherent. Consequently, I’ve linked to this showcase stage, which has its own YouTube visual problems but nevertheless shows off the choreography and outfits well.
