In the US a very basic weekly food budget for a single person changed dramatically between 1970 and the present. Shared are 3 of the 7 photos a Reddit member shared to illustrate their comments. I was shocked because:
“Can confirm. In 1970 | was a very poor college student living off campus. That first photo labeled 1970 looked like my weekly grocery shopping. I exactly had $10 as my food budget! And, if I wanted to go to a rock concert I had to save the money from the weekly grocery budget. I DID get to see a lot of greats. Stones/Jefferson Airplane/ Moody Blues etc. it was worth almost starving then, ha-ha!”

In the most recent chapter in my ongoing serialized memoir, I included a photo from the 90s showing the then-in-progress demolition of the office block that housed Odin Computer Graphics, along with the approximate locations of the 2 offices we had. On the first attached photo, #1 indicates the location of the first Odin office in Steers House, and #2 indicates the location of the second office in Mulberry House. I've also attached a Google Maps screengrab of the area today, from approximately the same viewpoint, which shows the Hilton Hotel, right across from the Albert Dock. Clearly a piece of prime real estate!

King City Asbestos Processing Plant near King City, California. 2007 vs. today. Asbestos processing operations were discontinued in 2002, so the plant must have been razed between 2002 and 2007.
