    Back in 1998 I would definitely have preferred this to the more grounded Deep Impact. I'm sure I'd still get a kick out of this, but my taste for this kind of movie has waned as I've got older.

    For me the most interesting thing about this film is its place in VFX history. It packed in a record number of effects shots for the time and was a major showcase for Britain's fast-growing VFX industry.
