Not only that, #Ppop talents were also trained in singing while dancing. Thus they almost always sing live, without any technological assistance, while doing intense dance choreography. For Kpop talents, it is not their fault if they can't perform live or always need help from technology. That is

You have to admit, Kpop's weakness is live performance. They were not trained for that. Compare that to #Ppop where talents were trained professionally by professional mentors in a rigid course where it covers everything. Look at #BINI and #SB19 to mention only two out of many examples.

And as far as _modern_ #Ppop (Pilipino POPular music) is concerned (not necessarily "idol"), MNL48 is a late 3rd Gen _modern_ Ppop act. Definitely not pioneers. 😁 Anyway, if they did split from 48 franchise, they really should change their name and branding. I still listen to their releases.

It's funny how you won't hear the news of how the #Ppop idol boy group #SB19 owned an event in Taiwan filled with #Kpop idol groups. The only ones making noises are Taiwanese and Filipinos. Taiwanese agree, SB19's powerful live singing is far better than most of the Kpop groups in that event. 😜

And usually, they actually do have years of experience. Because again, training. Training includes exposure on the stage, strge presence, and all of it. Even how they speak and answer questions are part of it. That's what #Ppop (Pilipino POPular music) talents are. They're above & beyond.

The only non-Kpop performer and they owned the event. This is the power of #Ppop (Pilipino POPular music) which covers the idol genre, #OPM (Original Pilipino Music), Pinoy Rap/Hip-hop, Pinoy Rock, and many more. Do you know how we're doing it? See thread… #Philippines

Not like Kpop, Jpop, Cpop (Mandopop, Cantopop, etc.), and so on, #Ppop or Pilipino POPular music industry concentrates on: 1. Serious and complete vocal and singing training from professionals 2. Serious and complete dance, routine, choreo training from professionals 2/n

… performed by a non-Filipino. Filipinos abroad, who are no longer Philippine citizens, are still considered #Ppop because they still identifi as a Filipino. And their songs are #OPM if it was majorly composed by Filipinos even if it was released abroad under a non-Filipino label.

In fact, there was an incident with #BINI where a family and a few fans disturbed the family dinner of the members after their concert/fanmeet. True fans defended BINI, and those who disrespected them failed to get any support (they tried to argue "idols are supposed to do this and that"). #Ppop

This the problem with the "idol machinery" since the 90s. Extra: Japanese and Korean companies are trying this in the #Philippines and are failing. 😁 We deeply respect the privacy of celebrities. (FYI: The "idol industry" is only a subset of the broader Jpop, Kpop, #Ppop, Cpop, labels.)
